Tessa Farrell is an award-winning actress, director, and screenwriter, as well as the record-setting film auteur behind the movie, Cinema Legend. Tessa was born in Scottsdale, Arizona, to Catherine McGinley, a real estate agent in Austin, Texas, and Scott Farrell, a novelist known under the pen name Scott Falcon. She has a younger sister, Kelsey, and two younger brothers, Ryan and Shane. Tessa's ancestry is mainly European with small traces of Native American, African, and Asian heritage. Raised by her mother and stepfather, Patrick McGinley, Tessa had a relatively normal childhood, attending public schools in Arizona, Florida, and Texas, where she excelled in soccer, dance, choir, and yearbook, and graduated from Stony Point High School. After obtaining her BA in Radio-TV-Film from The University of Texas, Tessa moved to Los Angeles, where she worked as an actress on HBO's Entourage as a recurring background supermodel and in leading roles for indie movies such as The First Born, Diamond, and The Madness Within. She also shot commercials for Dish Network, Nike, Apple, and Dodge, among others, in her spare time. While initially following the common path in Hollywood, Tessa gradually grew dissatisfied with frequently being asked to audition as the "dumb hot girl" and constantly having to dodge sexual harassment attempts made by prestigious movie producers, talent agents, and managers. She eventually traded the audition room for her office and began to write her own movie roles. As she honed the craft of screenwriting, Tessa continued to develop her skills as a performer, studying comedic improv at UCB and playing multiple characters on Barbee Rehab. She was soon hired to adapt Kate Adamson's book, Paralyzed But Not Powerless, for the big screen. Tessa's deeply rooted passion for cinema then led to a metamorphosis into a full-fledged filmmaker. She began sharpening all her crafts by participating in timed filmmaking competitions to practice creating under extreme pressure and ended up winning awards in every competition for every project she created as the writer, director, and star. As soon as Apple released its first smartphone with a 4K camera, Tessa took to shooting short films using her iPhone with the help of her friend, Arles Netherwood-Schwesig. When he wasn't available, she began operating as a one-person film crew to keep her production costs low. In 2017, the tides of fate changed when Tessa changed her hair to blonde. Word spread that she was like the "real-life Barbie" who could do anything she set her mind to. After catching wind of a Barbie movie in development with Sony at the time, Tessa wrote a movie treatment and produced a teaser film for the project that ultimately went undiscovered yet led to her even more grandiose creation. Drawing inspiration from her own experiences in Hollywood and incorporating buried, unrecognized parts of herself, Tessa expanded her Barbie movie concept and transformed her Barbie character into Daisy Blaine, giving rise to the groundbreaking film Cinema Legend, initially titled Cinema Rebel. It's an original film about Hollywood's very own movie magician: the motion picture artist who can do it all, wear one production hat, two hats, three hats... or 70+. One theory is Tessa may have simply forgotten to stop acting. Another theory is she was, and actually is, the character in the movie, because Tessa not only brought Daisy Blaine to life in front of the camera, she brought her to life behind it too. Accomplishing what no other human has before, dancing on the coattails of Apple's evolution in smartphone cameras, Tessa leveled up the short film version of being a "one-person crew" and spent years inside four walls of her own production studio where she shot scenes, executed rewrites and reshoots, created original foley, audio and visual FX, music design, dialogue recording, editing, audio engineering, mixing, mastering... literally doing every single job a feature motion picture requires, all before AI even existed. By accomplishing such a ginormous feat, Tessa is projected to become one of Hollywood's most legendary filmmakers of all time. Sitting in the CEO chair of her own production company, Vital Spark Productions, and loaded with an arsenal of original movie scripts and the upcoming blockbuster version of Cinema Legend, Tessa is now entering the rapid waters of spec script bidding wars while sorting through Hollywood studio partnerships, keeping her eyes set on partnering with companies who hold similar values to her own: creating groundbreaking original content that not only entertains, it makes this world a better place.- Actress
