Manuel Garcia-Rulfo stars in the Netflix series "The Lincoln Lawyer." He will next be seen starring as the title character in "Pedro Paramo," the directorial debut of Rodrigo Prieto based on the iconic book by Juan Rulfo, and was recently cast in a lead role in "Jurassic World 4" opposite Scarlett Johansson. Born in Mexico, Garcia-Rulfo studied in the U.S. and found his passion in acting. After returning to Mexico and appearing in television and film there, he returned to the US and made his feature debut in Carl Franklin's "Bless Me Ultima." Guillermo del Toro was born October 9, 1964 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Raised by his Catholic grandmother, del Toro developed an interest in filmmaking in his early teens. Later, he learned about makeup and effects from the legendary Dick Smith (The Exorcist (1973)) and worked on making his own short films. At the age of 21, del Toro executive produced his first feature, Dona Herlinda and Her Son (1985). Del Toro spent almost 10 years as a makeup supervisor, and formed his own company, Necropia in the early 1980s. He also produced and directed Mexican television programs at this time, and taught film.
Del Toro got his first big break when Cronos (1992) won nine Ariel Awards (the Mexican equivalent of the Oscars), then went on to win the International Critics Week Prize at Cannes. Following this success, del Toro made his first Hollywood film, Mimic (1997), starring Mira Sorvino.
Del Toro had some unfortunate experiences working with a demanding Hollywood studio on Mimic (1997), and returned to Mexico to form his own production company, The Tequila Gang.
Next for del Toro, was The Devil's Backbone (2001), a Spanish Civil War ghost story. The film was hailed by critics and audiences alike, and del Toro decided to give Hollywood another try. In 2002, he directed the Wesley Snipes vampire sequel, Blade II (2002).
On a roll, Del Toro followed up Blade II (2002) with another successful comic-book inspired film, Hellboy (2004), starring one of Del Toro's favorite actors, Ron Perlman.

Gael García Bernal was born in Guadalajara to Patricia Bernal, an actress/model & José Ángel García, an actor/director. His stepfather's cinematographer Sergio Yazbek. He began his acting career as a child, working w/ his parents in a variety of plays. At 14, he starred in a soap opera called El abuelo y yo (1992). Born the daughter of two med-students in their last year of medical school in Guadalajara, Jalisco - Mexico, by age 5 she was taking karate, ballet, tap, and gymnastics. Raised by her mother, at age 11, they moved to Dallas, Texas where she studied acting.
In high school she was heavily involved in choir and theater and graduated with high honors. Her academic achievements allowed her to attend SMU (major: Cinema - double minor: Psychology and Spanish).

Ximena Sarinana is an actress, singer, songwriter producer from Mexico City. Born in Guadalajara to Director Producer Fernando Sarinana and Writer Carolina Rivera, she started acting at the age of 8 in musical theater in her hometown. She is best known for her role as EMCEE in the two-time Oscar-winning film "COCO" from Disney/Pixar. He studied the career of architecture in TEC de Monterrey and Centro in Mexico City, then after, he formed the career of scene director in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba and Estudio de Juan Corazza in Madrid, Spain. Jorge Blanco Güereña is a singer, actor, dancer and polyglot born on December 19, 1991 in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico. He became known worldwide in 2012 when he brought to life the character León Vargas, one of the protagonists of the Disney Channel soap opera Violetta (2012). Blanco learned to play the guitar at an early age and soon became interested in taking acting lessons.
