Growing up in Grimsby, Gary spent many years as a bottle digger in the UK, digging old Victorian trash pits and "mud hopping" along the river banks in search of old bottles, clay pipes, doll heads, and marbles. Some of the bottles he found dated back to the early 1600s and the clay pipes from the 1500s. His oldest bottle find was a Roman perfume bottle dating from the Roman occupation! It was bottle digging that eventually led to his interest in metal detecting; every year Gary would find more and more coins while digging for bottles.
When Gary then moved across the pond to South Florida he decided one day to take his metal detector to the beach and on his first day out he dug up a Spanish Silver Piece of Eight. Then a few months later he found a 1715 Spanish Fleet Gold and Emerald Ring. His "outside the box" approach to metal detecting has lead Gary to explore various search techniques and different sites, always aided by his site reading and metal detecting technique to find treasure. Since then has found hundreds of Gold Rings, Jewelry of all types, Coins, Silver, Rolex's, Bronze Ship Spikes, War Artifacts and Spanish Treasure! Gary is a relentless beach hunter who has even been complimented by Famous Late Great 1715 Spanish Fleet Salvager Bob Weller for having the 3 P's - Patience, Persistence and Preservance.
Gary is fortunate enough to make a living doing something he loves, writing beach and water hunting related books and giving private treasure hunting lessons. His Spanish treasure finds even caught the eye of Hollywood producers which led to several appearances on TV shows before finally joining the cast of "The Curse of Oak Island", the top rated treasure hunting show in the US, as the resident metal detecting expert.
Gary utilizes a range of Minelab detectors. His first Minelab metal detector was the Excalibur, a metal detector he still uses today. Gary states that "As any long time Minelab user will tell you, the only way to beat a Minelab is by using another Minelab so I always have other specialist tools in the old tool shed". Searching for Spanish treasure on the beach Gary prefers the awesome, deep detection power of the GPX 5000 and large Commander search coils. While for traveling on metal detecting vacations he grabs the Equinox 800 and for the majority of tourist beach jewelry hunts he can't go past his CTX 3030.
Gary's most memorable find is the magnificent 300 year old Emerald Treasure Ring worth a cool $500,000, a true find of a lifetime! While the thrill of the hunt and that awesome moment as you recover something that was lost for hundreds of years from your scoop, has kept Gary hooked on detecting.
Gary has detailed his unique beach and water hunting methods and search techniques in his range of books so that all detectorists can learn from his many years of experience. He also has his own blog and YouTube channel, in addition to being featured in the History channel series The Curse of Oak Island.- Actor

Al Pillay is an international star of every idiom, whose electrifying, captivating career has spanned theater, film, cabaret, television, radio, and the recording industry.
Onetime transsexual disco diva, transgressive being, maverick soul, Channel Four's first out, loud and proud star, comic icon, movie star, children's broadcaster, voice-over queen, comedian, and raconteur, Al Pillay has packed a lorryload of credits into a life that began amongst the fish heads and neon lights of Grimsby sometime in the 1960s.
As soon as he was old enough to don a wig and a pair of stilettos he took the Northern club circuit by storm, but Al was too big a fish for that small pond. At 18 he followed the Yellow Brick Road (well, the M1) to London, where he set about realizing his dreams.
His first TV appearances soon followed with stints on C4's first "yoof" program Whatever You Want with Keith Allen and Four For Tonight with Ruby Wax. A parallel career soon developed when he caught the eyes and ears of Stock, Aitken, and Waterman, who wrote and produced his worldwide disco smash 'Pistol in My Pocket.' As Humberside's answer to Sylvester, the early 1980s were spent touring the world's top clubs in a whirl of sequins and feathers, PAs and limos (yes, really!). His most prominent successes were in Australia, Paris, and Italy, as well as having the No. 1 spot on Brit dance floors throughout the 1980s.
When the call came from The Comic Strip Presents... Al was ready. Ready to steal the show in Gino, Susie, Consuela, and The Bullshitters. His performance in the movie 'The Supergrass' inspired Peter Richardson to write 'Eat The Rich' as a vehicle for Al's multi-faceted talent. Also smitten with La Pillay was Bristol Funkster Gary Clail who invited him to contribute to his Top Ten hit Human Nature. The sight of Al on Top Of The Pops in Vegas-style headdress singing 'Let the Carnival begin, every pleasure, every sin' brightened up many a Thursday night.
Several dancefloor classics followed, including 'I Can Make A Man Out Of You' and 'Pistol in My Pocket,' before television lured him back. As a critic for ITV's Funky Bunker, he received as much (if not more) fan fan mail as the show's presenter, Craig Charles.
His solo show 'Hello La,' which was co-written and directed by Paul McVeigh, followed in 1996. It premiered at Islington's Kings Head Theatre, before a sell out run at the Riverside Studios. Highly lucrative radio and voice-over work, as well as numerous TV appearances on everything from The Clothes Show to The ITV Chart Show have kept Al from theater for a few years but he was back, bigger and bolder than ever with a new show. Wide Open For You played to sold out houses at the Jermyn Street Theatre in London's West End for its three week run in 2001. This was a rare chance to see close up and intimate one of showbiz's most thrilling and spectacular performers.
Al made a shock move into children's' broadcasting as resident voice-over artist and guest interviewer on the BBC World Service's ground-breaking new show The Edge, having revealed Janet Jackson's tattoos to the world and discovered that Robbie Williams really does believe in angels.
Most recently Al has been working on his new autobiographical play called Glitter and Twisted, written by Tim Fountain (Resident Alien, Julie Birchill is Away) and directed by Matt Ryan (from the Royal Academy, London, resident director of Les Miserables and Miss Saigon and member of the Cameron Mackintosh Company). The show will will premiere at the inaugural Mahattan Musical Fetival in September 2004, where it will be produced by Tambar, the company that brought Joan Rivers to London in 2002.

Jason was born in Grimsby, a small town in Southern Ontario Canada. Since then he has lived in St Catharines, Ontario, the home of other celebrities such as 'Dave Thomas', Linda Evangelista, Ron Sexsmith, and Neil Peart. Jason attended the same high school as Peart, but obviously more than a few years afterwards.
During his high school career he was less focused on making films and more focused on watching them and playing football. He played for the regional football all-star team, and even the Provincial team one year. In the winter of 1998, Jason was offered a scholarship to Graceland College in Iowa, and was excited to attend later that year in the fall. But in the early summer, just months before he was set to leave for Graceland College, while tackling another player he was injured and temporarily paralyzed. He suffered minor neck and back injuries. The injuries were not enough to stop him from living a normal life, but his days of playing football were over. Graceland offered to still give Jason the scholarship, but in a state of depression he declined.
He decided that he would turn his focus to filmmaking, more professionally when in 1999, after graduating from West Park Secondary school, and immediately formed his own business Digital Dream Pictures, which produced several short length promotional videos for 97.7 htzfm's web site. In 2001, he turned his focus to the narrative form of film and directed a short length movie titled "At Midnight" which was well received by the online community in the spring of that year. In the winter of 2001, Jason starred in a short length video production, produced by Locked Out Entertainment, titled PUSH, in which he played a serial killer. Shortly thereafter, Digital Dream Pictures and Locked Out Entertainment joined together to form LOADD Studios, in order to produce the Full Length Motion Picture An All American Fairytale (2001). A movie which was produced by Lupish, and directed by Lupish, Christopher Carter, and Adam Jack.
In the Summer of 2003 Jason was approached again by writers/directors Carter and Jack who asked him to help produce and co-fund the demonstration pilot for "4 Years To Life", a project that is now receiving acclaim from Canadian television and film professionals. In November 2003, Jason produced and was the Director of Photography for the short film "The Switch" directed by Award Winning Writer/Director Carey Lewis. About a month later, Lupish, Carter and 'Joe Gallo II' a writer/director from Toronto, created "Nocturnal" a feature film that will bring together the creativity of 7 different directors all on one project. Each director gets 10 mins to tell a story, and must do so with a list of rules.
In March 2004, Jason became the first person in history to direct a Live-Action fully 3 dimension holographic commercial. It was for White Oaks Resort & Spa in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, and featured 2 guests of the resort playing tennis, lifting weights eating dinner, etc. All the various activities one can enjoy while staying at White Oaks.
Jason is currently prepping a few scripts for production in early to mid spring, and also directing a music video for the band PRI.- Soundtrack
