Osmond's Partner Blames Fires for Fainting Spell

Marie Osmond's Dancing With The Stars partner Jonathan Roberts has blamed the Malibu wildfires on the singer's fainting spell on Monday night's show. Osmond collapsed in the middle of a grilling from judges on the reality show after performing a samba routine with Roberts. Show host Tom Bergeron immediately cut to a long commercial break, allowing Osmond, 48, time to recover. And now Roberts has revealed what happened after cameras cut away from the live show. He says, "The paramedics were taking her pulse and she wasn't moving." The professional dancer adds, "I think it's a little bit of her asthma and all the fires here in Malibu (that sparked it)." Former Dancing With The Stars contestant Heather Mills, who was in the audience when Osmond passed out, admits she initially thought the singer was joking. She explains, "It was such a theatrical drop. I thought, 'Wow, that's fantastic.' Then it was like, 'No, that is not a joke and she's not moving.' Everyone's heart stopped for a second." Mills was Roberts' partner in the last season of the hit show.

Spelling's B&B Threatened by Wildfire

Actress Tori Spelling is battling to save her beloved hotel business from the raging wildfire which has swept through California. The star, 34, and husband Dean McDermott were in Los Angeles to support pal Jennie Garth in TV show Dancing With The Stars when they were told their business was under threat. Spelling tells People.com, "We got a call that our Temecula B&B was being evacuated. We had a lot on our minds tonight. We have friends who are watching (the situation)." McDermott adds, "We don't know the extent of it. There were guests on their way (to the B&B), but they were notified and sent back. The whole town of Fallbrook was evacuated." California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency in seven southern California counties on Monday.

Kelsey Grammer Evacuated

Former Frasier star Kelsey Grammer has become the latest celebrity evacuee to flea the wildfires in Malibu, California. The actor and his family were given a mandatory evacuation notice on Tuesday as the out-of-control blaze threatened his seaside retreat. He says, "All I see (there) is smoke, but we're OK. We're safe. We got the dog, we got the kids." Grammer joins a list of stars, including director James Cameron, Jane Seymour and Olivia Newton-John, who have been forced to abandon their homes.

Copperfield Sued for Canceling Tour

Illusionist David Copperfield has lost his magic touch - now he's being sued for canceling south-east Asia tour dates at the last minute. Copperfield scrapped the shows after learning he was at the center of a new FBI probe into a rape claim against him. FBI agents reportedly seized computer equipment in a raid on a warehouse Copperfield owns in Las Vegas last week. The 51-year-old was due to perform in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore in the coming weeks, but canceled on Sunday. And now promoters at Viva Art International Limited and MAZ Concerts Inc. have filed a civil lawsuit in the Superior Court of Los Angeles County for breach of contract. Viva & MAZ bosses have demanded the return of several million dollars that were paid into an escrow account for Copperfield's performance in southeast Asia. Copperfield has reportedly refused to return any portion of the sum. The magic man is under investigation by a federal grand jury in Seattle, Washington for sexual improprieties.

Martin Writes Children's Book

Funnyman Steve Martin is following in the footsteps of stars including Madonna and Jamie Lee Curtis - he's written his own children's book. The veteran comedian, who has no kids of his own, has teamed up with cartoonist Roz Chast on The Alphabet From A To Y With Bonus Letter Z!, which was released in American on Tuesday. The book features illustrations by Chast, accompanied by amusing couplets for each letter of the alphabet - written by Martin. He says, "I'm not sure why I did this. I don't know why an alphabet book popped into my head. My idea was to write these rhyming couplets with the craziest images I could possibly think up, and then have Roz illustrate them."

Mills Struggled Through Dancing Show With Broken Pelvis

Model/activist Heather Mills braved her way through TV show Dancing With The Stars with a broken pelvis. The one-legged former wife of Sir Paul McCartney has revealed she has been suffering with a broken plate for years - and her will was really tested on the last season of the reality dancing show. She says, "I had a broken pelvis when I danced Dancing With The Stars. I've had a broken plate for a few years now and it just pops out now and again." The injury forced Mills into a wheelchair, but now she's walking again after her hip was "realigned and cracked back into place by a chiropractor." Mills now has to find time in her busy schedule to undergo surgery. She adds, "I just can't take four months out right now." The model lost a leg when she was hit by a speeding police motorcycle in a London street in 1993.

Keillor Wins Restraining Order Against Fan

A Prairie Home Companion star Garrison Keillor has won a restraining order against a woman who sent him bizarre gifts, like a petrified alligator foot and dead beetles. The beloved radio presenter and actor alleged he received unwelcome phone calls and disturbing emails from Andrea Campbell, 43, of Hawkinsville, Georgia. In the petition, filed earlier this month, Keillor, 65, claimed the harassment started in April, after Campbell attended a live performance of his public radio show, A Prairie Home Companion in Georgia. In the documents, Keillor revealed he was most shocked by one letter Campbell sent him, in which she "graphically described making love to me". Keillor also claims Campbell startled his wife when she turned up at the family home in St. Paul, Minnesota in July. But Campbell believes Keillor has misunderstood the letters, emails, packages and phone calls, and insists she was never closer to his house than the sidewalk. In an interview with a Minnesota newspaper, she says, "I believe that he's paranoid."

Goulet in Critical Condition With Lung Disorder

Veteran singer/actor Robert Goulet has been hospitalized with lung disease Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis. The 73-year-old was taken to a Las Vegas hospital on September 30, after feeling increasingly weak and suffering from a shortage of breath. After being diagnosed with the rare and potentially fatal disorder, he was transferred to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on October 13 to undergo an emergency lung transplant, where doctors are awaiting a donated lung. He is said to be in a critical condition. Goulet's third wife, Vera, says, "Our friends have been incredibly supportive through these crucial times. My Robert has given tremendous joy to the world for six decades and he is loved by many people who are praying for him. He is a strong, positive man, full of life. I know if he is given the transplant he will pull through this. There are still many unsung songs for him to sing and, in my heart, I know it is not his time to go."
