Death Certificate Issued for Daniel Smith

A death certificate has finally been issued for Anna Nicole Smith's son Daniel Smith, eleven days after his death on September 10. Smith's attorney, Michael Scott, says the certificate was issued so Smith can bury her son, pending the outcome of additional tests which are expected in the next two weeks. Daniel was found dead in his mother's hospital room after flying to the Bahamas to be with her soon after she gave birth to a baby girl. Scott explains, "It is not unusual in instances where the cause of death cannot be determined to issue a death certificate. This is not a matter of special treatment being given in this particular case." He says Smith is slowly moving forward with her life and has even filed a birth certificate for her new daughter and plans to stay in the Bahamas where she has been granted permanent residency. He adds, "She's much better. You never get over that, you get through it. Time is the catalyst for that."

Hilton Shamed By Police Tapes
Paris Hilton is set to be embarrassed by a new Us TV show which will air police interview tapes with the hotel heiress, in which she admits she's "not that smart." The star was quizzed over a 2004 robbery at Girls Gone Wild producer Joe Francis' Los Angeles home, because Francis claims she told him information about a suspect at a later party. But Hilton told investigators she was not a reliable witness, because she has a bad memory and isn't clever. The confession can be heard on an audio tape to be aired on American television's Dateline NBC. The sometime singer/actress says, "Like I really... I don't remember. I'm not like that smart. I like forget stuff all the time." Detectives are heard on the tape trying to coax Hilton to remember what she told Francis, according to PageSix.com.

Madonna Explains Shocking Crucifixion Scene
Madonna has spoken out about the controversial crucifix scene in her world tour, insisting many people have misinterpreted the meaning of the stunt. During her show, Madonna appears onstage on a glittering cross and strikes a crucifixion pose - an image which has shocked many fellow Catholics and led to protests outside the Material Girl singer's concerts. And, as her record-breaking Confessions world tour comes to an end in Japan, Madonna has released a statement explaining the idea behind the controversy. She says, "I am very grateful that my show was so well received all over the world. But there seems to be many misinterpretations about my appearance on the cross and I wanted to explain it myself once and for all. There is a segment in my show where three of my dancers 'confess' or share harrowing experiences from their childhood that they ultimately overcame. My 'confession' follows and takes place on a crucifix that I ultimately come down from. This is not a mocking of the church. It is no different than a person wearing a cross or 'taking up the cross' as it says in the Bible. My performance is neither anti-Christian, sacrilegious or blasphemous. Rather, it is my plea to the audience to encourage mankind to help one another and to see the world as a unified whole. I believe in my heart that if Jesus were alive today he would be doing the same thing." Madonna concludes the statement by asking of critics, "Please do not pass judgment without seeing my show."
