Kidman & Urban Confirm Marriage Plans
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have confirmed media reports they have returned home to Australia to marry. The Moulin Rouge actress is expected to exchange vows with country singer Urban at Sydney's Mary MacKillop chapel on Sunday before jetting off to honeymoon in Fiji. The happy couple say in a statement: "We are very happy to be back in Australia. We have come home to celebrate our wedding with our family and friends." Pictures broadcast on Australian TV showed Kidman leaving her private jet in Sydney early yesterday morning, but New Zealand-born Urban was not seen in the footage. Kidman's mother and father have already visited their daughter at her Sydney home, and the property is protected from paparazzi photographers by tight security. More than 200 guests are expected at the ceremony, including Naomi Watts, Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Baz Luhrmann. All guests have been asked not to buy the couple who has everything a gift, but to donate money to charities they support. Kidman has reportedly booked out the entire Wakaya Club Resort in Fiji, where Rolling Stones rocker Keith Richards was staying when he fell from a tree and injured his head.
Willis Sues Cameraman Over Assault Claims
Bruce Willis has fired back at the photographer who accused the movie star of assaulting him last week - accusing him of making false and damaging claims against him. Paparazzo Anthony Goodrich filed a police report, claiming the Die Hard star assaulted him outside West Hollywood restaurant Koi, pushing his video camera into his face and chipping a tooth. But in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles yesterday and obtained by website TMZ.com, Willis' lawyer Marty Singer insists Goodrich and other "stalker-paparazzi" flashed high-powered strobe lights in his client's face as he was entering the restaurant. The suit claims Willis "put his hand up in front of his face to shield his eyes from the blinding flash" and at no point "shoved the photographer and pushed his camera into his face." The suit also claims articles written about the incident exposed Willis to "hatred, contempt, ridicule and obloquy..." He is seeking $1 million in damages. TMZ.com reports that Los Angeles police officials dropped Goodrich's case two days after the incident after the cameraman refused to prosecute Willis.
Jolie & Pitt Planning To Adopt Again
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are already planning to adopt another child, just weeks after Jolie gave birth to the couple's daughter Shiloh Nouvel. The couple are currently considering which country to adopt from. The child will be Jolie and Pitt's fourth - a brother or sister for Shiloh and adopted children Maddox, four and 15-month-old Zahara. Girl, Interrupted actress Jolie says in an interview with CNN, due to air later today, "Next we'll adopt. We don't know which - which country. It's gonna be the balance of what would be the best for Mad and for Z right now. It's, you know, another boy, another girl, which country, which race would fit best with the kids."
Spears Experiences Interview Backlash
Britney Spears has been subjected to a backlash after her tearful interview last week on US news show Dateline. Spears, who is heavily pregnant, was criticized for her "inappropriate" wardrobe choice of a sheer, cleavage baring top and revealing mini-skirt. The singer also reportedly insisted on doing her own hair and make-up and chewed gum throughout the interview. At one point, when she began to cry, her make-up started clumping and one of her fake eyelashes fell off. The source adds, "When (the NBC crew) got there, they thought they had the wrong day...during the interview, no one was there to reign things in." A source tells Pagesix.com, "Neither of her publicists, Leslie Sloane Zelnick or Nanci Ryder, showed up." When asked why Spears was on her own for the interview, Sloane Zelnick told Pagesix.com, "Britney is a grown-up and makes her own decisions."
Phoenix Fights for New Dog Law

Actor Joaquin Phoenix is spearheading a new campaign to ban the chaining of dogs in California. The Walk The Line star has teamed up with animal rights group People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals (PETA) and penned letters to every top California politician, asking them to support a new bill, which would make attaching chains to dogs a state offense. In his heartfelt letter, Phoenix points out, not only does chaining lead to lonely suffering for dogs, it also presents a very real danger to people, especially children who wander into the area where dogs are kept chained. He writes, "Life at the end of a chain is miserable. Senate Bill 1578 would give animal control officers a much-needed tool to help protect our canine companions from long-term neglect and our communities from dog attacks, a problem that has engendered increasing public concern in recent years." In a recent report, America's Centers For Disease Control And Prevention has found that chained dogs are nearly three times more likely to attack people than dogs who are not kept chained. A PETA spokeswoman says, "In 2002, chained dogs killed more children between the ages of one and nine than did falls from playground equipment or trees and fireworks accidents combined, and they killed as many kids as did gun accidents."
Farrow To Report Back to UN on Darfur

Campaigning actress Mia Farrow has pledged to do all she can to help quash the uprising in the war-torn Darfur region of Sudan. The Hollywood star is in the African country with her teenage son Ronan as part of her duties as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). Farrow met a handful of the 2.4 million people who have been displaced by fighting in the country, as well as Sudanese officials and aid workers. And the 61-year-old Hannah and Her Sisters actress has promised to stress the seriousness of the situation to UN officials. She says, "We were hearing that there were no child soldiers but it was very clear that there were. We saw them carrying guns right there with the adults. The powerful people I am going to meet know full well what is happening here and that is part of the tragedy. There are always reasons for caution, for not wanting to get involved. I do understand those reasons, I just don't agree with them."
'Syriana' Filmmakers Win Plagiarism Battle

The makers of George Clooney movie Syriana have triumphed in their legal wrangle against Stephanie Vergniault, after being accused of plagiarism by the French screenwriter. Vergniault claimed the thriller, written and directed by Stephen Gaghan, was based on her script Oversight, which she wrote between 1997 and 2002. In her lawsuit against Warner Bros. studios and Clooney's production company Section Eight, Vergniault was seeking two million euros ($2.55 million) and 35 percent of box office receipts. Following her loss, Vergniault has now been ordered to pay 3,500 euros ($4412) in court costs.
Rodriguez Held Back by Attention Deficit Disorder

Hollywood star Michelle Rodriguez fears she may never fulfill her dream of directing, as she suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). The Lost beauty has such trouble focusing she knows it will affect her career choices - but she is reluctant to take medication to treat the frustrating affliction. She tells Cosmopolitan magazine, "I want to write and direct, but it's not easy with Add. I have a hard time focusing when I'm alone. I'm a scatterbrain, but I'm nervous of taking medication. I don't really want to depend on anything to control my brain."
Bullock: "We've Defied the Cynics"
Sandra Bullock and her TV mechanic husband Jesse James can't wait to celebrate their first wedding anniversary in July, as Hollywood cynics were convinced the unlikely pair would split within weeks. The Miss Congeniality star is thrilled she and her tattoo-covered beloved have defied cynics with their solid romance. She says, "A lot of people, almost everyone, said, 'They'll never last - no way.' Well, the people who knew us when we were dating - really knew us - saw what we both knew was there from the start; just the most incredible connection imaginable."
