Aniston Ready To Date Again
Jennifer Aniston is over her divorce from Brad Pitt and ready to date again. The former Friends actress insists she has moved from her high profile split in January, and blames the media for refusing to leave it in the past. She says, "It's the media that won't move on. You just want to say, 'Come on, people! Turn a page!'" When asked by US chat show host Oprah Winfrey if she was ready to meet a new man, Aniston looked at her watch in a jokey manner and replied, "Yes!" Pitt has been closely linked with his Mr. And Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie in numerous media reports, but Aniston refuses to worry about what has happened and what is yet to come her way. She says, "I'm doing so well. I'm not sitting somewhere dwelling on the past. I'm not fretting or obsessing about something in the future."
Oprah Ends Feud with Hermes
Oprah Winfrey has resolved her public spat with international clothing store Hermes by inviting the president and Ceo onto her talk show to discuss her concerns. Oprah hit the headlines in June when she was refused entry to the Paris, France, branch and her aides suggested race might have had something to do with the snub. Embarrassed Oprah has refused to discuss the incident, but brought Us Hermes boss Robert Chavez onto her TV show yesterday to clear up reports suggesting she didn't want fans to shop at Hermes anymore, and purchase Berkin bags from the store. Winfrey insisted that most of what was written about the incident was "flat-out wrong," adding, "I just want to say shame on anybody for thinking that I was upset for not being able to get into a clothes store and buy a purse. I was upset because one person at the store was so rude. Not the whole company. Everybody who has ever been snubbed because you were not chic enough or thin enough or the right class or the right color or whatever - I don't know what it was - you know that that is very humiliating and that is exactly what happened to me." Chavez publicly apologized to Oprah, insisting she encountered "one very, very rigid staff member" who honestly didn't know who the talk show queen was. Oprah put an end to the public war or words, by hugging Chavez and urging viewers to "wear the Berkin bags. Shop, shop, shop, shop!"
Emmy Winner Huffman Shut Out of Party
Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman had some of her glory snatched away as she attempted to celebrate her Emmy win Sunday night, when she was shut out of a party. Huffman, who was crowned Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series, decided to party with her husband William H. Macy and her TV co-stars Teri Hatcher, Nicolette Sheridan, Eva Longoria and Marcia Cross once the ceremony was over. But things soon turned sour when Huffman and Macy attempted to enter the Hollywood soiree. She says, "We went to a party and I couldn't get in. I was like, 'But I have a statue!' And they were like, 'No, you can't get in.' There were too many people and the fire marshal had closed it off, so all the other Housewives were up there partying and I was downstairs. Poor me with my statue! So then we went home... I just talked to my husband and went to sleep at around 1am."
Sheen Shoots Down Vow Renewal Speculation
Charlie Sheen has shot down speculation he's set to renew his wedding vows with wife Denise Richards. Richards had filed for divorce earlier this year, but she's since been working with Sheen to saving the marriage - prompting reports that they're on the verge of taking a second trip down the aisle. Sheen says, "I guess there was a story about some big three-day wedding, or something that we were gonna renew our vows and all that stuff. That's not happening, no. That's not to say that we're not working things out and working back towards a reconciliation. It's difficult when there's children involved, when you've got people camped outside your house. They fail to recognize that people's hearts and emotions (are involved). This is all real. It's not what we do for a living. And they think if it's a celebrity marriage that the problems are of some epic nature. I mean, it's just stuff that everybody deals with." Sheen and Richards, who have two children together, married in June 2002.
Jackson Breaks His Silence

Superstar Michael Jackson has broken his silence over his child molestation court battle, describing the trial as "the hardest thing I've ever done in my life". The Thriller hitmaker spoke to news agency Associated Press (AP) in a phone call from Bahrain, where he has been staying with his friend Prince Abdulla, the son of the King in Bahrain. Jackson said he and his three children Prince Michael I, Paris Michael and Prince Michael II were "resting and recovering" following the two years of turmoil. The star admitted he had suffered back problems during his high-profile trial in Santa Maria, California, but was now "feeling good". The pop legend is now working hard on "From The Bottom Of My Heart," a charity single to raise money for the victims of last month's Hurricane Katrina. He enthused, "I'm constantly working on it." Joining Jackson on the phone to AP was his spokeswoman Raymone K Bain, who was reported to have been fired by the Jackson family a day before the star was acquitted of all charges in June. Bain admitted Jackson was in talks with a host of big names to sing on the charity single, but could not confirm a line-up. Jay-Z, James Brown, Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg and Lauryn Hill are all rumored to be taking part.
Slater Cleared of Groping Charge

Groping charges against Christian Slater have been dismissed. A judge made the decision to throw out the charges this morning, during a pretrial motion hearing in New York City. Slater enthuses, "The case is over. I'm thrilled. I'm glad that the prosecution felt the case was worthy of dismissal... It just shows that someone can accuse you of anything." Slater, 36, had been accused of grabbing a woman on a New York City street early in the morning of May 31 as the actor was allegedly arguing with his girlfriend. The actor's lawyer, Eric Franz, says, "I think the fact that this case was dismissed speaks for itself. I think it suffices to say we are relieved." If convicted of the two misdemeanors for which he had been charged, Slater could have faced up to a year in prison. In mid-July, he turned down a plea deal offered to him. Under the deal, Slater would have performed three days of community service in exchange for pleading guilty to a charge of second-degree harassment.
Lopez and Anthony Donate to Katrina Kids

Husband-and-wife singing duo Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have appealed to fans to help young victims of Hurricane Katrina by donating money to a children's charity. The pair have pledged a substantial sum to the Children's Health Fund's Operation Assist - and they want others to follow suit. Lopez tells TV show Entertainment Tonight, "The truth is, the people who are going to be affected the most are frail, are children, are the elderly and (with) this organization, the money goes directly to health care and helping these people and getting them well. They suffer psychological trauma as well, there's so many things. This is a great, great charity if you're looking for something to donate to." The Children's Health Fund's Operation Assist is sending mobile health care units to help victims throughout the Mexican Gulf region affected by last month's natural disaster.
Lil' Kim Begins Her Sentence
Rapper Lil' Kim was assigned to a federal detention centre just outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, yesterday to begin serving a 366-day sentence for perjury. The charges stem from the star's March conviction on three counts of perjury and conspiring to lie to a grand jury. She said in a statement prepared before she went behind bars: "Today begins a new saga in my life which I expect to strengthen me and allow me time for reflection. I am blessed to have so many great things in my life - family, friends and God. All will be in my thoughts daily. I plan to write music while in prison, read and pray regularly and will come out a stronger, more confident woman." Lil' Kim, real name Kimberly Jones, also reminds fans in the statement that her fourth album, The Naked Truth, is released later this month.
Vaughn Leaves Los Angeles for Chicago

Actor Vince Vaughn has taken such a shine to Chicago since filming his upcoming romantic comedy The Break Up there, he's ditching Los Angeles to move to the Illinois city. Vaughn spent much of the summer in the Windy City with Aniston working on the film, and since returning to Los Angeles, he's sold his Los Feliz home for nearly $4 million. The actor, who plans to use Chicago as his base of operations for a while, influenced the decision to have his movie The Break Up filmed in Chicago, where he was raised. Vaughn, 35, had owned four-bedroom Los Angeles home since 1991.
