Courtney Love Cautioned and Released

Fiery tempered rocker Courtney Love has escaped a possible two year jail sentence after being cautioned by British police following an alleged 'air rage' incident. Love was arrested on landing yesterday after the pilot of the Los Angeles to London flight alerted British air traffic control to the rock singer's allegedly abusive behavior. Scotland Yard confirms the Hole frontwoman was cautioned under the Public Order Act for "causing harassment, alarm and distress to another person." An airport source described the bottle-blonde rockers' actions to British tabloid The Mirror: "Love got bored in the upper class at the top of the plane and invited her pals downstairs to join her. She was tucking in to the booze and having a good time. But the group were so loud - and she in particular was swearing a lot - passengers complained. When the pilot was called, she screamed 'F*** off, I hope you die!' The pilot decided to radio ahead to the police. Love didn't appear to be bothered at the thought of being arrested. I don't think she realized the trouble she was getting herself in. As the plane came in to land she was taking her underwear off and singing loud rock song." After her release, Love gave her version of events. She said, "I cussed at a lady - my daughter always said I had a potty mouth. I cussed at a lady named Mary, she wasn't letting my friend into first class and I said, 'Why are you being such a bitch about it.' How do you feel about your tax dollars being used for me saying don't be a bitch? I'm now going to go and sit by the fire." Asked how she felt about her treatment, she said, "I think that I have been flying British Airways for a long time and I will continue to do so. This is my second time on Virgin and my first time wasn't so great either." And Love added that her time at a British police station was rather pleasant. She says, "It was fine. They were wonderful in there. It was like being on Prime Suspect."
Madonna to File Official Complaint Over Pregnancy Claim

Pop superstar Madonna is set to file an official complaint over a British magazine's claims that she's pregnant. A spokeswoman for the singer plans to file a complaint with Britain's press watchdog, the Press Complaints Commission, over what she says are inaccurate reports in Heat magazine that she is expecting her third child. Heat used Madonna's recently dyed hair and penchant for baggy clothes as evidence in their claims. Liz Rosenberg says the 44-year-old star is not pregnant and also denies a report in the publication that the Material Girl had moved back to Los Angeles to consult her American doctors. Rosenberg says, "It's not true...it's not accurate. She dyed her hair brown instead of blond, that does not confirm somebody's pregnant. And she's been wearing baggy clothes for 20 years, so what else is new?" Madonna has two-year-old son Rocco with her British filmmaker husband Guy Ritchie, and six-year-old daughter Lourdes by her former personal trainer Carlos Leon. Rosenberg says Madonna, who adopted London has her home two years ago, was in Los Angeles to shoot a video for her upcoming album American Life, to be released in April. She adds, "When people see that they'll see for themselves she's not pregnant."
Spector: Dead Woman Named
The dead woman found at music producer Phil Spector's mansion has been named as 36-year-old actress Lana Clarkson of Los Angeles. Spector, 63 - whose Wall Of Sound production technique changed the face of popular music - has been charged with her murder. Police were called to a house in the Los Angeles suburb of Alhambra, California, at 5am yesterday morning after it was reported that a woman had been shot dead. Investigators are refusing to comment on the victim's possible relationship with the legendary record producer. Clarkson appeared in hit 80's films Scarface, starring Al Pacino, and Blind Date, alongside Bruce Willis and Kim Basinger. Meanwhile, more disturbing details of the accused star's past have been revealed - such as his violent temper and threatening behavior. Ex-wife Ronnie Bennett, lead singer of the Ronettes, says Spector was a control freak who once destroyed a recording studio in a violent rage. The producer was also prone to using a gun - in the seventies, Spector allegedly became so angry with Leonard Cohen he put a gun to the singer-songwriter's head. And he also pulled a gun on punk band The Ramones during a recording session in the 80s. In a chilling interview with British newspaper the Daily Telegraph on Saturday, Spector said, "I don't know, genetically, whether or not that had something to do with what I am or who I became. I would say I'm probably relatively insane, to an extent. I take medication for schizophrenia, but I wouldn't say I'm schizophrenic. I have a bipolar personality, which is strange. I'm my own worst enemy."
Douglas and Zeta-Jones "Don't Deserve a Penny"
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas should not receive a penny in compensation because they openly court publicity was the view of a barrister defending celebrity magazine Hello! in the British high court yesterday. The wealthy stars are suing the celebrity bible after they published pictures of their wedding without their permission. The couple seek damages for invasion of privacy - a claim ridiculed by the defense team who questioned why the Hollywood pair had released in advance a list of the 350 high profile guests invited to the ceremony in November 2000. James Price QC said, "They chose to turn their wedding ceremony and reception into an international media event. They chose to exploit this event for commercial gain and in order to obtain substantial publicity for their career." Price cited the very private ceremonies of Madonna to Guy Ritchie and Kate Winselt to Jim Threapleton when he added, "The choice to publicize their wedding is in contrast with other celebrities who have elected to keep their weddings as private as possible."
Everyone Wants Nicole's Nose
Nicole Kidman's nose is the new must-have cosmetic enhancement in Hollywood, according to a new poll. The Aussie actress' perfect nose - not to be confused with the fake one she dons in The Hours - is the most sought-after celebrity body part, according to an annual survey conducted by the Beverly Hills Institute For Aesthetic And Reconstructive Surgery in Los Angeles. Also prized by those apparently willing to undergo nips, tucks, lifts and injections are Halle Berry's eyes and Liv Tyler's luscious lips. Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie has the most desired body and Jennifer Aniston's hair is back in vogue, according to the group, which claims to have polled thousands of clients. Salma Hayek has the most-desired jawline and chin, while Jennifer Lopez possesses the best cheeks, and Michelle Pfeiffer the most coveted skin. Among the men, Brad Pitt has the best eyes and lips, while Ben Affleck has the best nose, Ethan Hawke the most-desired complexion, Russell Crowe owns the best chin and Leonardo DiCaprio the best cheeks.
Ben Shocked About Columbia Disaster
Ben Affleck is struggling to come to terms with the shuttle disaster at the weekend - because he's one of the few stars who's spent time aboard the now destroyed spaceship. Affleck spent several days aboard Columbia filming a special documentary for the DVD release of his Armageddon movie - he admits he was devastated as he watched the shuttle explode in the sky, killing the seven astronauts inside. Remnants of the shuttle showered over Texas and prompted a weekend of mourning throughout America. Affleck says, "I think I had the same feeling as everybody. It took the wind out of my sails. You can't believe it. I've been on the space shuttle Columbia. It's the one that we shot the special for Armageddon. I've stepped inside it and been on it and it's kind of like a mini version of the September 11 feeling, you're just going about your everyday life and then you see something horrible that's happened. It puts things into perspective. It's an uncertain world and it's really sad."
Woodward Fighting Cancer
The Equalizer star Edward Woodward is battling prostate cancer. The veteran actor, 72, is having treatment and doctors are so far pleased with his progress, according to Woodward's agent Janet Glass. Woodward suffered two massive heart attacks - in 1987 and 1994 - which almost ended his career. After a triple heart bypass he lost 30 pounds and gave up his cigarette habit. The actor is best known for his starring role on hit TV shows The Equalizer and Callan, as well as the cult 1973 movie The Wicker Man with Britt Ekland.
Spacey Swaps Tinseltown for London Stage

Hollywood star Kevin Spacey is swapping movies for the stage to become artistic director of London's historic Old Vic theatre. The American Beauty Oscar winner, who has already donated large sums of money to help restore the 180-year-old venue, could take on the vacant post as early as this week. The 1,000-seat-theatre was saved from becoming a lap-dancing club in 1998 after impresario Sally Greene attracted a host of A-list benefactors including Spacey, Sir Elton John - who is the theatre's chairman - and Richard Attenborough, who is the chairman of Old Vic Productions. After being made a trustee of the Old Vic, Spacey - who starred in The Iceman Cometh there in 1998 - became so committed to the theatre, he frequently flies over from America to attend board meetings. Last year he said, "The Old Vic is a place born for actors to play and for the hearts and minds of theatre-goers to be challenged and enthralled." But Spacey, 43, has some work to do to restore the theatre to its former glory. The roof alone requires $525,000 repairs to stop water leaking on the audience.
Heath and Naomi Split?

The romance between Antipodean stars Heath Ledger and Naomi Watts has fizzled out - according to website Peoplenews.com. The good-looking twosome ignited their passion on the set of their film Ned Kelly last year but sources suggest that they are no longer together. A Knight's Tale star Ledger, 23, had been keen to commit to 34-year old Mulholland Drive star Watts and even suggested that they move in together. However, it is reported that up-and-coming star Watts has been dating other eligible young men in the last month.
Meryl Sick of the Oscars

She may be hotly tipped to appear on the nominations list for next month's Academy Awards, but Meryl Streep insists she's sick of Oscars hype. The actress, who has already won two statuettes, is hotly tipped to be recognized this year for her roles in The Hours and Adaptation. But Streep says she has no time for the frantic political race for nominations and awards. She says, "I find it alarming that all the campaigning for Oscars is getting like a political campaign. That part of the business is horse racing; the other is acting and that's my interest."
