Clive Barker Writing Hellraiser Remake
We've been hearing about a Hellraiser remake for years, but it has never gone anywhere. Dimension Films and producer Bob Weinstein just couldn't figure out the right approach for it. At one point, they hired Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer (My Bloody Valentine 3D) to write the script, but they should have known that wasn't the smartest decision for the film. My Bloody Valentine 3D sucked all kinds of ass.
For those of you who are fans of the Hellraiser franchise, you'll be happy to hear that the creator of it, Clive Barker himself, will now write the script for the film! He pitched his version of the remake to Dimension and Weinstein. They apparently loved his idea, and they even agreed to let Doug Bradley return to reprise his role as Pinhead!
Barker revealed the news on his Facebook page, saying:
