Machine Gun Kelly has gotten himself into his fair share of conflicts with other artists — and their fanbases, by extension — throughout his career. But there’s one group of fans the rapper would never want to be on the outs with: Swifties.
Mgk faced off with Trippie Redd on Hot Ones Versus, a truth-or-dare edition of the popular show usually hosted by Sean Evans. In this format, two guests interview each other, posing a series of questions that the other has to answer truthfully or take on a spicy chicken wing instead.

Machine Gun Kelly had the best response when he was asked to say three mean things about Taylor Swift.
The 34-year-old hitmaker recently competed on an episode of Hot Ones Versus with fellow musician Trippie Redd.
During it, Mgk was asked about offering Taylor‘s boyfriend Travis Kelce extra money if he were to sign a deal with the Cleveland Browns. He was then prompted to “burn that bridge” by dissing Taylor, prompting a noteworthy response.
Head inside to see what Machine Gun Kelly had to say…
Long story short, Mgk was not down to play that game.
“Ladies and gentlemen, you have got to be out of your motherf-cking mind if you think I want any smoke with that fanbase,” he said about Taylor‘s dedicated Swifties. “Also, Taylor is a saint and very nice to me, and Travis is my bro.”
Instead of dissing Taylor, he chose to eat a hot chicken wing.

For as long as Tekashi 6ix9ine has been in the public eye, he’s been embroiled in significant controversy and legal issues, including beef with an extensive list of rappers such as 50 Cent, Trippie Redd, Chief Keef and Ludacris, and an equally notable arrest record.
The trolling rapper took the internet by storm in the late 2010s as a major streaming act with platinum hits including breakout single “Gummo” and the Nicki Minaj collaborations “Fefe” and “Trollz,” but in recent years, controversies like his 2018 racketeering arrest – and subsequent...

New year, new music from Playboi Carti. On Jan. 1, the rap star released “Backr00ms,” his newest collaboration with rap colleague Travis Scott.
In their decidedly lo-fi video, Carti and Scott take turns rapping in a garage near an SUV tank, with scenes of Carti showering a dancer with money inside a drab office space spliced throughout.
The chorus goes: “In the middle of the field, throw me a bomb, I’m throwin’ that bih like a quarterback/Standin’ in the field, holdin’ a bomb, throwin’ that ho like a quarterback/Stood in the field,...

While Trippie Redd may have started the year on a rather dubious note with the rigidly single-minded Mansion Musik, A Love Letter to You 5 finds the Ohio rapper largely leaning into his previously established strengths. The mixtape is far more rewarding on a track-by-track basis, even if the best songs here still don’t come close to the highs of 2021’s (still uneven) Trip at Knight. Although this isn’t a particularly noteworthy entry in Trippie’s emo-laden mixtape series, it’s unhurried and likable enough.
As its title vaguely suggests, A Love Letter to You 5 is defined by Trippie’s never-ending quest to woo what seem to be the most callous and inconsiderate of lovers. Of course, he never places the blame for his brokenheartedness on himself: On “Thinking Bout You,” he reminds a former squeeze how “I could probably have all of the women in the world/I...

The season 3 finale of Lil Dicky’s “Dave” delivered an all-star extravaganza featuring guest appearances by Rachel McAdams, Brad Pitt and Drake, who hailed the show as “one of the most important of our generation.”
Booking such massive stars for a series sounds like a nearly impossible feat, but Lil Dicky, real name Dave Burd, who co-created the series, revealed to Rolling Stone how he accomplished acquiring such A-listers.
“A guy like Brad Pitt isn’t going to get in a show that he doesn’t think is one of the best shows. Because I have this show out, it’s a lot easier for a guy on Brad’s level to believe in it,” he said to the publication.

When Ohio-born rapper Trippie Redd first burst onto the scene in 2017, Donald J. Trump was about to start his first presidential term, Juice Wrld and XXXTentacion were alive, and SoundCloud rap was the new transgressive genre making waves. Back then, Redd contributed to the urgent-sounding genre with his first commercial mixtape, A Love Letter to You. A Love Letter to You was Soundcloud rap, but it also strategized Redd’s rapping ability, first and foremost; songs would be showcases. “Can You Rap Like This?” is a boom bap song, reminding...

Sza‘s “Sos” has been number-one on the Billboard 200 albums chart for all of 2023 so far, and the tracking week ending January 26 was no exception. She logged her seventh straight week on top, further cementing her position in the record books. Read more about this week’s chart here at Billboard.com.
“Sos” achieved 111,000 equivalent album units based on its combined album sales, individual track sales, and online streams. That was a drop of just seven-percent from week to week. It makes her the first R&b artist to spend their first seven weeks at number-one since Whitney Houston‘s “Whitney’ back in 1987. Trippie Redd is one of the brightest lights of the first wave of SoundCloud rap, the scene of boundary-pushing, genre-flouting teenagers who were on the cutting edge of music in the mid-2010s. From his debut mixtape, A Love Letter to You, he earned a reputation as an artistic maverick, equally curious exploring “Love Scars” as the cloudy trap of “Romeo & Juliet,” or even traditionalist rap on “Can You Rap Like Me?“

A snippet from “Leave Me Like This” first appeared in a teaser trailer Skrillex shared on social media at the top of the year.

Pop is always a little more interesting when Skrillex is around. The hardcore artist-turned-megaproducer/DJ helped popularize dubstep in the mainstream while also ushering an Edm-forward era of both pop music and rap. But in the last several years, he quietly stepped back from being one of our most prolific stars, popping up sparingly to collaborate with new and old friends.
Fans were ecstatic when he teased new music on New Year’s Day, and he fulfilled his promise just a few days later with “Rumble” featuring Fred Again.. and Flowdan.

The gunman who killed rapper PnB Rock in Los Angeles during a robbery may have been led to the location by an Instagram post, Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore said Tuesday (13 September).
Moore said the attack occurred shortly after the rapper was tagged online as being at the Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles in South Los Angeles. Police are investigating whether that prompted the attack.
The 30-year-old Philadelphia rapper – real name Rakim Allen – was at the restaurant with his girlfriend on Monday (12 September), who posted a location-tagged photo in a since-deleted post on Instagram.
Per the Los Angeles Times, Moore said Rock: “was with his family — with his girlfriend or some kind of friend of his — and as they’re there, enjoying a simple meal, [he] was brutally attacked by an individual who apparently [came] to the location after a social media posting.”

In 2017, Lil Uzi Vert’s “Xo Tour Llif3” peaked at Number Seven on the Billboard Hot 100. The song explored themes of substance abuse and suicide, finding a loyal audience in young listeners. In the chorus, by now etched in rap infamy, Uzi sings, “Push me to the edge/All my friends are dead,” with a bouncy, almost cartoonish swing. The track’s emotional dialogue marked a shift in hip-hop. Emo rap, a subgenre that grew in popularity on SoundCloud during the 2010s, was becoming mainstream.

Sharing an intro of similarly dreamy, plucked guitar, SiR’s latest single “Life is Good” initially feels reminiscent of his Top Dawg Entertainment labelmate Sza’s smash “Good Days.” Yet, whereas Sza tussled with stressors on her track, SiR sounds truly carefree. “Everything but the weather, girl, I got under control,” he sings with his characteristic cool. Guest vocalist Scribz Riley — also one of the track’s producers and a collaborator to Cardi B, H.E.R., and Khalid — puts struggle in his review in his verse. “Like look what a nigga...

Sofia Richie sent social media into a frenzy on April 20 when she announced that she and her boyfriend of a year, Elliot Grainge, are engaged. The model and fashion designer very publicly dated Scott Disick off and on for years before finally splitting with him for good in late 2020. A few months later, she quietly started dating Grainge, and they've been together ever since.
But now that the two are engaged, the people want to know: who is Elliot Grainge? While his romance with Richie has been much more low-key than her relationship with Disick, Grainge is no stranger to the spotlight. Grainge is the founder of Los Angeles-based record label 10K Projects, which is home to artists like Between Friends, Iann Dior, Peach Tree Rascals, Trippie Redd, and Surfaces. His work at the label landed him a spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2021. Forbes noted that 10K Projects...

Coi Leray’s album Trendsetter marks the culmination of a nearly four-year journey that began with the RIAA-certified success of 2018’s “Huddy” and continued with 2021’s “No More Parties.” It also included a handful of minor dustups: video of her at last year’s Rolling Loud Miami drew social media mockery for her concert audience’s nonplussed reaction; and, more worryingly, a war of words erupted with her estranged father, rapper and onetime Eminem combatant turned reality-tv star Benzino. Ironically, the tumult elevated Coi Leray’s profile, helping her emerge...
