Annie Laks is from Chicago and earned a B.A. in Journalism and Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin. She was a publicity assistant MGM in New York City before making the jump into film production in Los Angeles, and then at Sony. She joined Paramount Pictures in 2009 as a Creative Executive, earning her stripes on a wide range of movies such as Jason Reitman's Oscar-nominated Up In The Air and Golden Globe-nominated Young Adult, Dinner For Schmucks, the Duplass brothers' Jeff, Who Lives at Home, 2011's Footloose, Ivan Reitman's No Strings Attached, The Guilt Trip, and Robert Zemeckis' Oscar-nominated Flight. In August 2016, Laks became Senior Vice President of Paramount Animation in August 2016 and joined Shondaland as SVP Creative Content in 2019.
