The Conservative Political Action Committee has returned to D.C. this week for its annual conference, and it’s serving up heaping platters of lazy, hateful political commentary to conservative voters.
On Thursday, the conference hosted a panel titled “Cat Fight? Michelle vs. Kamala.” The event featured white conservative commentators teeing off on former First Lady Michelle Obama and current Vice President Kamala Harris for half an hour — offering plenty of commentary on the two women’s race, gender, and their fantasies, or nightmares, that one of them might replace...

The Conservative Political Action Conference is taking place this week at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. Cpac is the year’s most biggest gathering of conservative thought leaders, serving as a kind of Coachella for misinformation, bigotry, religious zealotry, and veneration of a twice-impeached president who lost the 2020 election. The 2023 edition will feature speeches from likes of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, Donald Trump, and others, although big names like Ron DeSantis, Mike Pence, and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy are skipping the conference,...

The New York Times is facing backlash about its latest hire to its editorial board, Sarah Jeong, after multiple old tweets about “white people” resurfaced within hours of her hiring on Wednesday.
In a litany of tweets dating from around 2014, some of which have been deleted, Jeong made a number of comments that critics said were racist and disparaging. “Oh man it’s kind of sick how much joy I get out of being cruel to old white men,” she said in one tweet — now deleted — but archived here.
“Dumbass f–ing white people marking up the internet with their opinions like dogs pissing on fire hydrants,” she in another.

Fox News host Shannon Bream may be in need of a doctor, tweeting Sunday night that she was “hacking up stuff” and suffering from an unnamed illness beyond even the reach of Mucinex.
“That moment when your nose is totally stuffed up and you’re hacking up stuff from your chest and wondering how oxygen is going to get to your lungs. This job may be too big even for Mucinex,” she said.
Yikes.

It’s unclear what Bream is suffering from, but the graphic late-night hacking was too much even for conservative troll lord Kurt Schlichter.
“Thank you,” he said. “Very graphic!”
Thank you. Very graphic!

A rep for Bream did not respond to request for comment from TheWrap.
It’s not the first time Bream has made news on the platform. When she’s not sharing health updates, she has used Twitter as a force for good — most recently crowdsourcing her celebrity friends to help grant the last wish of a dying child.
“Need your help Twitterverse – trying to help a young boy who is dying. He probably has just days and all he want is a greeting from one of the Avengers. If you have a celeb connection, please let me know. Otherwise, could you help out with a Rt? Thank you in advance!,” she said in a post last month.
