- Nearly died in 1991 after being struck by a practice swing while serving as batboy for the San Francisco Giants Double-A affiliate Shreveport Captains baseball team.

- Won the gold medal at PB Ale House's "Wild Karaoke Wednesday" in 2012 for his arousing rendition of "Sex on Fire" by Kings of Leon.
