Tobias Alexander Ratka is an award-winning Film & TV composer based in Vienna, Austria. His repertoire ranges from epic orchestral scores over original songs in diverse genres (e.g. Hard Rock, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Metal) to small and intimate pieces.
So far, Tobias has composed the music for numerous TV shows and movies featured on international broadcasters and cinemas. A few of his credits include: Amazon Prime, ZDF, ORF, ARTE, SWR, WRD, TV Markiza and more.
Growing up in a family of filmmakers, Tobias' knowledge is not only limited to composing music. He was also responsible for the sound mix on several projects and was the lead editor on the official trailer of the feature film "Dinner for Eight" which premiered in Austrian and German cinemas in early 2022 and is now available on Amazon Prime. Tobias also directed a film crew of 30 people and has experience in working as a sound engineer on set.
His diverse knowledge on filmmaking allows him to fully understand everyone's role in movie making which results in an easier way of communicating with directors, producers, music supervisors, music editors, etc.
