Davidicus
- Additional Crew
Davidicus was born in Canada, designed learning software for Fortune 500 companies, and ran a small marketing design business before moving to Los Angeles, CA to work on video games. After getting numerous Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero titles under his belt, he joined a startup to build an innovative mobile music creation app. He was promoted from Art Director to VP UX, where he instituted numerous improvements to the production process. Zya was eventually acquired by Google, by which time Davidicus had moved into virtual and augmented reality. The fields were new, and the design challenges were fresh. He worked on live VR broadcasts (NextVR was acquired by Apple), and at Verizon, where he helped R&D develop the superior capabilities of their upcoming 5G cellular network technology. Davidicus eventually moved to the San Francisco bay area, and joined Mojo Vision, which successfully put a working, feature-complete AR contact lens on a human eye in 2022. The lens employed an innovative eye-controlled graphical interface that required no other controllers. He moved to Las Vegas, NV in 2021 and joined tech heavyweight Meta, which had a number of AR, VR, and mixed reality hardware products in the works.
