Jenna "Jen" Leclaire is an award winning Canadian actress, performer and producer. She has been living and working in her native Calgary AB for 8+ years in the arts. She moves back and forth often between Film and the Theatre.
Jen began working as part of a travelling theatre troupe in Calgary "Smoking Gun Entertainment" (Formerly Terry Shane Murder Mysteries) and branched out into the community theatre scene in 2013 working with small companies doing short play festivals and 5 minutes shows. She produced a few shows in the community in 2014-2016. In late 2016 she started working with popular companies in Calgary and landed the role as "M'Lynn" in Steel Magnolias with Torchlight Theatre which garnered her a nomination for "Best Supporting Actress". after this successful show, she was placed in Simply Theatre's production of "Crimes of the Heart" where is played Babe Botrelle and took home her first CAT award for best actress. She went on to work with well known and long time Theatre/Film critic and Director/Writer, Louis B. Hobson in his reprisal of his production "Happy Death Day" and directly after moved on to working with Workshop Theatre in their production of "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie" after which she gained another nomination for Best Supporting actress. Jen continues going strong in the community theatre scene.
In 2015 Jen also started touching the surface of the Film/TV industry in Alberta. Working on numerous productions as an extra and then diving a bit deeper into Stand-In work and Actor roles in many indie productions. She has appeared in shows such as "Hell on Wheels", "Fargo", "Wynonna Earp", "Interstellar", "Jaan", "Lost in Space" and many others. In the independent film circle she has done numerous roles such as "10,000 Promises" (2017), "Pari Leto" (2019), "Invaders(2019)" and many more. Jen is also an avid Stilt Walker and Fire Eater, she has worked as a performer in this area since 2016.
She is also involved with numerous charities and not for profit organizations such as, Kids Cancer Care, bringing workshops and performances to camps and events for kids.
