When Colton Haynes was confirmed to return as a series regular for Arrow season 7 this past spring, the fanbase understandably began dancing in the streets. After all, who wouldn’t want to see Star City’s Dynamic Duo of Green Arrow and Arsenal reunite and kick some serious butt?
Well, at the moment, it’s looking like the dream team coming together for another tour has been put on hold because not only is Oliver Queen behind bars, but Roy Harper’s role on the show seems to be confined to flash forwards for the foreseeable future.
You see, those new flash forwards kicked off by showing Ollie’s son, William, venturing to Lian Yu at some point in the future, only to come across a grizzled and reclusive Roy. How both get to there is anybody’s guess, though I certainly can’t wait to find out.

Having kept up with the current season of Arrow, I can’t help but notice how it appears as though Oliver Queen is having his life torn down around him. He may have reconnected with his estranged son, sure, but the new recruits have gone about their own business, Thea recently split town, and now John Diggle has left the Emerald Archer’s crusade in favor of a position at Argus. What is a hooded vigilante to do?
If we’re to compound this laundry list of happenings with the freshly released gallery of images found below, well, then we have all the more reason to tune in for the next episode. As you can see, Oliver has decided to dust off his old costume for a confrontation with Ricardo Diaz and his thugs. One could argue that we’ll be witness to a flashback, yes, but all signs point...

First, Team Arrow split into two factions with the newbies leaving the Ota behind to start their own team. Then last week, the Ota broke up with Diggle's departure and decision to work with his wife at Argus. How will Oliver be able to protect the city as a sole vigilante hero now?

To say that last night’s episode of Arrow was an emotional rollercoaster is an understatement. Not only did we have a fractured Team Arrow failing to procure Cayden James’ bomb, but we thought we’d finally seen the first hints at Black Siren redeeming herself – but then she had to go and kill Vigilante, someone who was actually on the path to redemption.
Of course, the actions of Earth-2’s Laurel Lance have made the second Black Canary, Dinah Drake, see only flames, thus forcing her to swear a blood oath in the name of her departed lover. And in addition to vowing to kill Black Siren, Dinah says she’ll put a bullet in each member of Cayden’s posse.
So, while Oliver Queen must contend with more attacks on his personal life, the first promo for next week’s episode gives us the slightest hint at a Black Canary unchained.

Arrow's game of "pass the hood" has a new contender.
Like the sleeping beauty she is, Thea (Willa Holland) Queen roused herself from the depths of a coma just in time for Thanksgiving dinner. Unconscious since Lian Yu, Speedy is blissfully unaware of Diggle's (David Ramsey) nerve damage, Oliver's (Stephen Amell) promises to William (Jack Moore), and the overwhelming threat of five disparate villains. And yet, her facility with a bow might make her a prime candidate for the Green Arrow position.

Last week, Arrow fans experienced quite the shocker at the end of “Tribute” when Oliver Queen passed the Green Arrow mantle to John Diggle. Basically, Ollie wants to assure that his son, William, has no fear of losing yet another parent. Thus, it only made sense to him that he hang up his bow.
So, even though Diggle has suited up in Oliver’s stead a few times in the past, that doesn’t mean this gargantuan shift didn’t come as any less of a surprise – especially when we’ve been told that this new status quo will remain in place for the time being.

Oliver gave up his green suit to Diggle to protect his secret identity and allow the continued protection of the city by the Green Arrow. Does that open the door to Oliver rekindling his romance with Felicity on Arrow Season 6 Episode 3, "Next of Kin"?

Whether you love or hate it, “Olicity” is coming back to Arrow and it’s looking like it’s here to stay. Ever since the final few episodes of last year’s outing, Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak have been rekindling their romance after a couple of shaky seasons. Now, for the first time in a long while, we know that episode 3 of season 6, titled “Next of Kin,” will see the couple actually lock lips.
Ollie and Felicity’s growing affections were once one of the most popular elements of Arrow, but season 4 killed a lot of people’s goodwill for the couple due to an over reliance on soap opera-type relationship drama. Some fans might be worrying that things will be going down that road again, but thankfully, evidence suggests that the pair will have a much smoother romance this time around. This review is based on the season premiere.
These days, I think it’s important that Arrow not miss a step and constantly remind everybody just how important it is to the universe it’s helped established. Yes, it is the progenitor of sorts, but it could be argued that The Flash has passed it up in terms of popularity in recent years. To be honest, I would agree with that, although I do urge those who may have lapsed from this particular series to hop back aboard.
I say that because while some of you reading this perhaps checked out after a less than stellar season 4, do know that none of us who said season 5 recaptured this show’s former glory were spewing hyperbole. Really, all the suspense, drama and action that made the earlier years so memorable is once again alive and well – and I’m happy to...

Caution: Spoilers ahead if you haven't seen the season six premiere of Arrow! Arrow just shot one straight through our hearts in the season six opener on Thursday night. (See what we did there?) Nearly every character was left in danger at the end of last season's finale, when Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra) shot himself, activating his own kill switch and detonating bombs planted all over Lian Yu. All Oliver (Stephen Amell) could do was hold onto his son William (Jack Moore) and watch the island blow up, potentially killing almost everyone Oliver knew and loved, including William's mom. Surprise surprise, it was only William's mom Samantha (Anna Hopkins) who didn't make it...

Even though the season premiere of Arrow has yet to air, The CW has opted to treat us with images culled from beyond the returning episode. Truth be told, this practice isn’t unheard of, as networks don’t mind circulating advance photos as long as they aren’t too spoiler-ish. That said, what we have to examine today isn’t going to ruin any possible surprises for you, but what these pics will do is succeed in getting you all the more excited for the next chapter in Oliver Queen’s enduring crusade.

Oliver Queen is “smiling a lot more” in Season 6 of The CW’s Arrow. And so, in turn, is series star Stephen Amell.
Coming off what he recently ranked as his second-favorite season ever (trailing only the freshman run), Amell likes what he is seeing thus far of Season 6, which premieres Oct. 12 on a new night — Thursdays at 9/8c, leading out of Supernatural.

Now that we have less than two weeks separating us from the sixth season of Arrow, The CW has thankfully chosen to serve up an extended trailer. Previously, all we had received was a brief promo and a gallery of preview images, which were much appreciated, but we were clamoring for something as meaty as other recent DC TV teasers.
This time, though, we’re not only granted more action, but more hints at what lies ahead for Oliver Queen and company. And while spoilers regarding who may have survived the blast on Lian Yu are being avoided, we do get a little more between Oliver and Deathstroke. But in this instance, we hear more of Slade Wilson’s dialogue, thus clarifying the context of their conversation. Before, his words sounded more foreboding, but now, it seems like he’s offering some brutal truth.

All along, showrunners Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle have been telling us Arrow was seen as a five-year odyssey, intended to be the same amount of time post-Lian Yu, to show how he has grown since being stranded there. Other than that noble notion, the execution has been incredibly uneven season to season.
As the series entered its fifth year, they began the season uncertain if this was going to be its final one so they made certain things got tidied up. The tedious flashbacks had to wrap up the five years before the series’ start and move Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and his friends towards a point where, should it be canceled, viewers were left satisfied.
Somewhere during the production of the final nine episodes, they got a sixth season renewal so shifted the planning to bring things to a climax and a cliffhanger. The messy 23 episodes are...

After five rollercoaster seasons, Arrow returns for its sixth this October. For many long-time fans, the Prometheus storyline saved the series and brought Green Arrow, played by actor Stephen Amell, back to his gritty, street-level, vigilante roots. Part of what made this recent storyline so compelling was that Green Arrow finally solidified himself as a leader and a true hero -- he definitely earned his redemption... but (possibly) at a very high cost. The cliffhanger ending in the Season 5 finale suggested that some of the cast won't be coming back, which is a shame since many of the minor players were finally starting to gel. On the upside, the recent Comic-Con preview trailer promises a doubling-down of Arrow's back-to-basics approach.
One major subplot in last season's storyline was the abduction of Oliver Queen's son William (Jack Moore). William was generally relegated to a plot device by Prometheus, who forced...

Get ready for a whole new paternal side of Oliver when Arrow returns for season six. Based on the season six trailer that debuted during today's panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Arrow is finally bringing Oliver's son William (Jack Moore) on as a more regular fixture on the show, and we get to watch Oliver be the dad he never got to be as William grew up. He even appears to get a bedroom in Oliver's apartment, in which he seems to be seeing ghosts. Of course, as excited as we are for Dadiver, there are some other pressing things to deal with when season six returns. Namely, we've got to find out who survived the island explosion. The season five finale saw Adrian Chase force...
