Kristin Swenson(II)
Kristin Swenson was born in Duluth, MN. She has a Ph.D. in Religious Studies (the history and literature of ancient Israel) and earned tenure as a professor at Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA). She moved to Charlottesville, VA and is affiliated with both VCU and the University of Virginia (Charlottesville) but now writes full-time. She is the author of nonfiction including Bible Babel: Making Sense of the Most Talked About Book of All Time (Harper Perennial, 2011) and God of Earth (forthcoming). Her screenplay Tell Mister Lincoln, a biopic of Harriet Tubman won the Virginia Screenwriting Award (2015) and advanced to the second round in Austin film festival's screenplay competition (2015). Among her present projects, Kristin is writing a series of historical fiction set in ancient Babylon and Persia as well as a young adult fantasy set in today's world.
