"Black & White" covers the history of Black/White race relations in the United States. It is broken into three periods: 1619 (the first slaves brought to the U.S.) to 1865 (the end of slavery); 1866 (Reconstruction) to 1964/1965 (the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act); and 1966 (continued Civil Rights developments) through the present (President Obama's administration, Michael Brown/Eric Garner/Tamir Rice tragedies).
The film will feature historical artifacts and re-creations, along from experts from the fields of history, entertainment, politics, and athletics. It will also feature some of the modern civil rights activists and everyday people who are desperately trying to make a difference.
