Melisa Zakeri was born on September 13, 1992 in Tehran, Iran. She earned her high school diploma in Theater (Acting) from "Sooreh Art School". She started her career as an actress visiting Acting Department of "Karnameh Institute of Art and Culture" in Tehran, Iran. Soon she was chosen for a role in
Dying in September (2014) directed by
Hatef Alimardani. This movie was her debut in cinema, performing alongside
Hamid Farrokhnezhad and started her cooperation with the director in 2 feature films afterwards:
The Nameless Alley (2015), starring
Farhad Aslani and
Baran Kosari and also the film
Abba Jaan (2017)starring
Fatemah Motamed-Aria. In
Amir Hossein Saghafi's
The Man Who Became a Horse (2015), for the first time she acted as a supporting role.
Mothering (2017) directed by
Roqiye Tavakoli, "Zohre" (2018) directed by
Siamak Ebrahimi and "Bubble" (2018) directed by
Ronak Taher are another works of her. Zakeri has recently finished acting as Forouzan in
Salhaye Door Az Khane (2019) TV series.
