Jeremy Mckane
Jeremy McKane is an artist that is passionate about Our Ocean. The only thing that really connects all humanity. For the past 15 years Jeremy has focused on his work as an artist to bring attention to the destruction of the planet's largest ecosystem. His Neuro-feedback controlled installation called LUCiD brings users to places around the world that have been affected by human actions. If you change the way you think, and his installation can measure levels of meditation. You will be rewarded on what we need to fight for and what is still there.
In 2018 he started a company called OCN that uses blockchain and artificial intelligence to process information in the oceans. His vision was to build systems to make better connected art for people to really see what the ocean looks like beneath the surface. This process has led to many new technological developments. The vision is to build a technological bridge that helps all of us protect 30% of the world's ocean by 2030. Several countries have expressed interest in working with OCN in hopes that they better secure their waters and gain a better understanding of the life that exists within.
At the end of the day Jeremy would tell you he is just like everyone else. He didn't finish college but instead he worked at a tech company that he credits for giving him the fire to constantly create and seek new answers. Jeremy hopes that others might see his efforts and want to join forces.
