We're down to just six teams left on this social-media-start-studded season of The Amazing Race. We start this week's episode with a flashback to Team JuicyDad07's elimination, which was full of tears for both teams that made it last to the mat (#Torey beat Team JuicyDad07 to the mat by seconds). The tears weren't just because #Torey was relieved to still be on the mat, but because these two teams knew each other before the Race.
Brodie from Team Frisbee Boys chimes in, too, stating he'll miss Blair but is confident they will reconnect after the Race (#Blodie may still live on!). So, if anything, the fact Brodie's on camera like interest is gone will divert more of his energy and effort towards winning...not good news for other teams, as Team Frisbee Boys has been coming in first for many legs and still hold a coveted Express Pass.

Last week on The Amazing Race, father and daughter team Scott and Blair were eliminated. The two came in just seconds behind Tyler and Korey but still finished in last place. After a few weeks of boring finishes The Amazing Race is finally heating up in season 28. Hopefully, the upcoming Leg 8 will be no different as the teams head to Dubai. Here are my predictions for which team is the most likely to be eliminated next.

Now this is more like it, The Amazing Race season 28! After some so-so to good episodes, the race finally appears to be on and things are actually happening. There are some things that are unavoidably unlikable about this season. For example, The Amazing Race is still trying to pretend #Blodie is a thing and that literally anyone but Blair and Brodie care about it the remotest bit.
Otherwise though, Leg 7 was easily the best leg of this season's race yet. The competition finally got serious and dissuaded my (somewhat) irrational fear that the season would end with the first and second place teams holding hands across the finish line because everyone loves each other and it is all okay.

And we're back! After a few-week hiatus, the social media influencer extravaganza that is The Amazing Race Season 28 returns. But before we get to the action, it's worth nothing during the show's time off, there's something a lot of fans have been wondering:

According to predictions made so far by readers just like you, it looks like Friday's episode of "The Amazing Race" will be the end of the road for Scott and Blair. Season 26 was an interesting experiment in The Amazing Race's history. It was a season of "romance" with half of the teams being dating couples and the other half meeting for the first time as blind dates. None of the blind dates hit it off romantically but there were some good and entertainment moments from the new format. It was particularly enjoyable to watch the blind date of Hayley and Blair be tied together because Blair's soul slowly died in his eyes as he traveled across the world. (Blair and Hayley didn't get along particularly well.) In Season 27, The Amazing Race is back to basics with teams of every type and connection. There is no standout team like Hayley and Blair (at least not yet) but it looks to be a promising season. ...

Season 26 of "The Amazing Race" wraps up on Friday (May 15) night with an episode that takes the four remaining teams from Peru to Dallas for that climactic rush to Phil Keoghan at the mat. Yes, for the second straight season, it's a Top 4 in the "Amazing Race" finale, as Mike & Rochelle were saved from elimination at the end of last week's episode, but they've been told that one team will be sent home during this closing Leg. This season's twist has been the introduction of a quintet of pairs featuring strangers on a hypothetical blind date around the world. Has that twist worked? Well, it depends on how you look at things. Of the four remaining teams, only Mike & Rochelle were dating previously and they've been quantifiably the weakest of the last quartet. They're going up against Laura & Tyler, Jelani & Jenny and Hayley & Blair, all "blind-dating" couples, though there have...

Hey! Look at that! "The Amazing Race" is, indeed, capable of making at least minor corrections. Last season's penultimate episode was, if you'll recall, a bit of a logical mess. Brooke & Robbie, who I've mostly forgotten, finished first, but got nothing for their trouble, because it was a "Keep On Racing..." Leg. Amy & Maya finished last and not only were they not eliminated and not only did they not face a Speed-Bump in the next Leg because it was a "Keep On Racing..." Leg rather than a Non-Elimination Leg, but they went on to win, becoming one of the two or three least dominant "Amazing Race" winners ever. It was stupid. Because the last Leg always begins with travel back to the United States and is usually an Equalizer, Brooke & Robbie didn't win a prize as the winners of the Leg, didn't get a time advantage and basically did a Leg of activities for nothing,...

I've been reflecting on Friday (May 1) night's "The Amazing Race" for nearly 20 minutes now and I have to admit this: I have basically nothing to say. So... Kudos, "The Amazing Race," for cutting together an episode so full of redundant, deja vu moments that I have very little desire to rant or rave or analyze. Another episode built around awkwardly wedged in product placement? Sure, why not? Yeah, we've been steadily plugging FitBit all season long, but why not throw in literally the least visually stimulating challenge built around the little fitness bracelets? Yes, tonight's math equation challenge was dull, but it was still less cringeworthy than what "Amazing Race" did with Ford and Travelocity this season. Whatever grace the show once had with product plugs has vanished and now I just cringe whenever a brand name is mentioned. But that's not new. It's been happening all season long. Another...

I know that sometimes teams are going to get lost on "The Amazing Race" and that every once in a while, getting lost is going to get a team eliminated on "The Amazing Race." But if you're going to get lost on "The Amazing Race" and that's going to be your undoing... Try to make it dramatic. Ask 50 people for directions and get increasingly more flummoxed. Fight and throw your maps in the air in outrage. Bang your head against your car horn repeatedly. Go the wrong way and end up in an ocean or accidentally steer yourself into a foreign country, through a hostile border, forcing armed guards to shoot out your tires. Oh and don't get so horribly lost that you get eliminated from "The Amazing Race" when you're in one of the smallest countries in the world. Sigh. I know CBS had to air the Ncaa Tournament, but "The Amazing Race" isn't a hit anymore and this season has been a wobbly, albeit sometimes amusing, experiment. And pulling a struggling show in a unsteady season is a pretty dismal way to maintain momentum. Let's skip to the recap after the break so I can get to spoiling... So Friday's "Amazing Race" episode was a Non-Elimination Leg and it always had the feel of a Non-Elimination Leg, because the process of escaping from Nagano in Japan to Phuket, Thailand proved absurdly difficult and "The Amazing Race" usually doesn't like to send teams home as a result of travel circumstances that are totally unavoidable. "The Amazing Race" returns to Thailand on Friday (March 6) night's episode and it looks like things are going to be getting a little strange. The trailers for the episode have mostly concentrated on the zip-lining and subsequent drama, particularly with blind-daters Hayley & Blair, who are seemingly headed for an epic blow-up. However, it appears that a challenge in Thailand is going to make the pairs take part in a Thai nightclub act of some sort. Normally, I'd think that would be good news for Jonathan & Harley, since what are the New Kids on the Block if not a glorified Thai nightclub act. But this season has already demonstrated Jonathan's insecurity when it comes to choreography. So instead, this may be a chance for Vegas showgirl Jackie and blind-dating partner Jeff to take control? Ooops. Somebody forgot to include the drama in Friday (February 27) night's episode of "The Amazing Race," which was edited with less of an exclamation point and more of an unconcerned shrug.
