- Ryan comes from a diverse background, having enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2006. He severed four years as a forward observer and deployed to Iraq twice, rising to the rank of Sergeant before getting out. Upon leaving, Ryan enrolled at Portland Community College and began studying acting. On the advice of his improv comedy professor, John Duncan, Ryan switched his major to microelectronics to provide a stable job while he built up his experience in the theater. Despite the change, he continued to have dreams of acting and nurtured the desire by performing in PCC's improv troupe at local shows for a few years. Ryan's first television roles consisted of extras parts on locally filmed shows Leverage (2008), and Grimm (2010), portraying police officers and other law enforcement personnel. Drawing on his military experiences, he also made his first debut on stage in Book of Dream's production of Costa Rehab (2012), playing wounded veteran Corporal Corso. In between the odd commercials, Ryan also participates in historical Roman re-enacting. When Portland film-maker Jay Lance needed Romans for his WWII program Combat Report (2015), Ryan's connections afforded him the opportunity to play a suspicious German NCO who meets an untimely end in an early episode - Ryan can been seen later on in the same series however, portraying a Roman fighting a barbarian during a flashback scene. Ryan has made frequent appearances on 'The Librarians' (2015), and on-stage playing the dual roles of Ms. Brown and Officer Marvin Nash in the Funhouse Lounge's production of the Tarantino homage, 'Reservoir Dolls' (2017). Most recently Ryan can be found in the Investigation Discovery show 'The Wonderland Murders' (2018). Aside from the traditional set, he also brings in a diverse assortment of additional skills, and he plays the violin and is an avid tabletop/board-gaming maniac.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Ryan Noël
