- She is first generation American--her family hails from Jamaica.
- Robbie speaks six languages: Korean, Mandarin, French, Spanish, Japanese and English. The only language that was self-taught is Japanese.
- She worked in the education system for 7 years--5 years as a contractor and 2 years as a full-time teaching aide.
- She has experience with voice acting. She attended a workshop taught by Bob Carter--the Voice Actor of Shao Kahn in "Mortal Kombat" and Bojack in "Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound.".
- Her passion for music informs her preference for composers and appreciation of their work--she's a big fan of Danny Elfman.
- Kalimba underwent three revisions over the span of 3-4 years before completion. The feature film was co-written by Robbie's (late) father, Robin K. Atkinson.
- Her love of anime, manga and web toons inspired her to start the Illustration division of RPX Media Production. She is a fan of Koyoharu Gotuge (Demon Slayer), Hayao Miyazaki (Studio Ghibli Animations) , Reki Kawahara (Sword Art Online) and Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, etc.).
- She uses an author pseudonym that has both an English and Japanese variation: "R.J. Atkinson" and "Rohee Atokinson".
- Considers her primary directorial influences to be Francis Ford Coppola, Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan.
