South Korean star Kim Soo Hyu spoke about his past obsession with bowling, and painted a vivid picture of his daily routine. He shared: “Before, I would hit the gym, eat, I’d head to the bowling alley, and stay there all day. Sometimes, I’d emerge at 6 or 7 in the morning, grab a bite, then head straight back to bowl. This cycle repeated itself, with gym sessions squeezed in between.”

However, he revealed that he has since put an end to this lifestyle.
Reflecting on his bowling phase, Soo Hyun shared that he was a little devastated because he “poured out (affection).”

At the hotel, I collapsed onto my bed squealing with delight. “I can’t believe I met Jung Hae-in!” In the confines of our hotel room, I changed from a forty-plus-year-old into a preteen fan-girling over a man who is 10 years younger. Jennay laughed at me. In Fall 2023 we had dropped hundreds of dollars to see my favorite Korean actor. “I can’t believe I met my ‘ozzbandt.” That was where Jennay drew the line. “No! He’s mine!” she responded.

Veteran Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike's work cannot be categorized into one genre of movies. The prolific filmmaker is particularly well-known for his brand of horror and depravity (have you watched "Audition" yet?), but has also dabbled in legal comedies, musicals, samurai adventures, and much more over the course of his 30-plus years of directing (and counting).
His latest project, "Connect," is a live-action TV show that was inspired by Shin Dae-sung's webtoon of the same name. Miike's grisly body horror series follows Ha Dong-soo (South Korean actor Jung Hae-in), who gets abducted by a gang of organ harvesters and has his organs removed. As if that wasn't horrifying enough, his eye ends up being transplanted into a serial killer named Oh Jin-seop (Ko Kyung-po), causing Ha to experience visions of Oh's various murders. As such, it falls to Ha to put an end to the killer's rampage.

"He will start killing the moment he wakes up." Hulu has revealed an official trailer for Connect, their new streaming series made by Disney+ Korea. It's directed by none other than Japanese legend Takashi Miike, which is why this has such a wicked cool style. It first premiered at the 2022 Busan Film Festival a few months ago, and we featured a teaser trailer back then as well. In this new series, adapted from the Manga, an "immortal" man is kidnapped and one of his eyes is removed by a gang of organ hunters. The eye is then transplanted into the body of a serial killer… The unwilling donor now has terrible visions as he witnesses terrifying attacks on the residents of Seoul. But he also really wants his eye back, and will stop at nothing to find it. The series stars Jung Hae-in, Go Kyung-pyo, and Kim Hye-jun. This looks crazy!

Miike Takashi becomes the first Japanese director to dip his toe into the ever-expanding world of K-dramas, helming all six episodes of Disney’s upcoming fantasy horror series Connect. Adapted from Shin Daesung’s webtoon of the same name, this ghoulishly entertaining meld of soap opera and body horror follows a young man (Jung Hae-in), who has his eye stolen by backstreet organ harvesters, only for his errant eyeball to wind up in the skull of a prolific and flamboyant serial killer. The first three episodes of Connect were screened at the Busan International Film Festival ahead of its December debut. What the hell do we have here?! Disney has revealed a teaser trailer for a new horror thriller series called Connect, made for Disney+ Korea. Premiering at the 2022 Busan Film Festival before it's streaming later this year. I've always thought it was a bit unfair to pigeonhole Takashi Miike as a director known solely for shock and horror. While some of his most famous movies, such as "Audition" and "Ichi the Killer," do fall in this realm, he's also made everything from family movies to legal comedies and even musicals throughout his lengthy career. He's also had his hand in directing episodes of television, the most famous of which is arguably his "Masters of Horror" episode "Imprint."
While that episode might have been banned from airing on Showtime in 2006, Miike has got a new horror series on the way. Unfortunately it's unclear when it'll be available in the United States, because for now it looks like "Connect" will be airing exclusively on Disney+ Korea. As previously stated, Miike has experience in making kid-friendly fare, but this looks anything but.
It should probably be noted that Disney+ here...

Despite being hardly known outside Korea and Japan, webtoons (comic strips or manhwa published online) are on the rise. South Korea is the leader in the advanced technology that allows the comic and graphic novel industry’s digital transformation, and their market grew by 65 per cent in 2020 only. Korean companies specializing in this art form are rapidly extending their arms outside Asia, thanks also to the general increase in global popularity of South Korean culture, the so-called Hallyu. Like manga, they offer well proven stories to film and drama producers, minimizing risks and therefore, the entertainment industry’s interest in them is growing rapidly. They are definitely here to stay, and we will hear more and more about them in the next years. Wisely, The Florence Korea Film Fest this year for the first time dedicates a whole section to them with 4 film adaptations. “Start Up” is one of them.

The Korean drama “Snowdrop” from Disney+ starring Jung Hae-In (“Tune in for Love”) and Blackpink singer Jisoo will premiere in the U.S. on Feb. 9, the streaming service said Monday.
The period drama, which is set in 1987, tells the forbidden love story of a Southern Korean college student (Jisoo) and a North Korean spy (Jung Hae-in) as South Korea fights for its independence.
The series, produced by jTBC, has received strong criticism in Korea over its lack of historical accuracy, prompting lawsuits and petitions to bar it from airing, according to NME. One such petition had gathered more than 300,000 signatures in December as several advertisers bowed out.
“Snowdrop” also made headlines earlier this month for the untimely death of 29-year-old cast member Kim Mi-Soo, who plays student activist Yeo Jungmin. According to CNN, no cause of death was given in her Jan. 5 death.
