During the pandemic, Josh has been using his quarantined time to write and produce new theatre works. His most recent project, Haley at Therapy, had a virtual production in Feb. 2021 and starred Tony Nominees Deneé Benton and Lilli Cooper. Coming off-Broadway in the winter of 2021 is Alive! The Zombie Musical, of which Josh wrote the book, music and lyrics.

Josh Canfield graduated with his Masters degree at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, and soon after made an appearance on the BBC1 show 'Any Dream Will Do.' After moving to New York City, he was cast on CBS' Survivor: San Juan Del Sur, where he became one of the favorites of the season, later being asked back by casting for two more seasons. He made his Broadway debut as Liberius in Doctor Zhivago at the Broadway Theatre in 2015. Since then he returned to Broadway with Josh Groban and Denee Benton in Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812, and most recently was seen on the national tour of the Lincoln Center's production of Falsettos.
