Kris Dirse is an audiovisual artist and musician, with a deep knowledge
of classical and contemporary music and with previous work experience
in fields as photography and music.
From 1999 to 2011 Kris studied in the National "M.K. Ciurlionis" School of Arts; his main subjects were cello and conducting.
During the intense and in-depth studies of music theory and music history, in addition to the exploration of a wide range of cultural concepts outside the field of music as well, he took part in multiple creative projects in Vilnius.
In 2007 Kris started studying in the Minor Theatre Academy, attending a foundation course for drama performance studies.
He moved to London in 2011, to attend Brunel University, where he met and started working with Francesca Floris. The degree course attended in Brunel (BA Music and Film and Television Studies) provided a balanced combination of academic film theory and practice, and helped him to improve his music skills.
At the moment Kris is participating in performance and visual arts projects as director and producer, collaborating both in projects connected to Ad Libitum Films and not.
