Brian Swan(I)
Brian Michael Swan, M.D. received his medical degree from the
University of Arizona College of Medicine, located in Tucson, Arizona
in 2000. He excelled, not only as a student, but was also extremely
active in the community. He served as a strong advocate in developing
several "mobile medical clinics", in order to help provide medical care
and services to the under-served populations throughout Tucson. In
addition, Dr. Swan was an active participant and leader among his
student peers during medical school, serving to promote the expansion
of primary care medicine, as the State Chairman and Chapter President
of the American Medical Association - Medical School Section.
Dr. Swan received many honors and awards during his academic training. While in medical school at the University of Arizona, he received "The Most Outstanding Student in the Medical Class of 2000 Award" - for being the top medical student in his class. He was also a distinguished recipient of both the "McGraw-Hill Award" and the "Merck Award", and was inaugurated as a member of the prestigious, "Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society" - an honor bestowed only to the top 5%-7% of the nation's graduating medical school seniors in 1999.
