Opetaia Babakobau

Opetaia Babakobau aka Junior Tubaba was born in Suva, Fiji Islands August 31, 1983 to
Susana L. Babakobau (née Celea) and Opetaia Babakobau Sr who is a
Welder. He was raised in Fiji and at the of 8 his family migrated to
American Samoa. Opetaia Babakobau hails from the Chiefly island of Bau.
He is of Polynesian descent and is full blooded Fijian. Opetaia only
has one sibling, Aporosa Toroca. He attended two high school LDS Church
College of Fiji and Leone High School in American Samoa. He attended
BYU Hawaii majoring in Media Art Studies/Theater and Psychology; He
also worked at the Polynesian Cultural Center while going to school. He served a Religious mission for the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Opetaia is also a rugby player and was a member of the Las Vegas
Blackjacks 2010 National Champions for the Continent of the U.S. Also
in 2010 he got married and in 2012 they got separated and filed for
divorce. In 2013 he became homeless and put himself through a recovery
program for a year at the Las Vegas Rescue mission which he
successfully completed.
