Trelanda "Tree" Lowe is a neurodivergent director, writer, producer, and podcast host. She holds a B.A. in Cinema and Television Arts, an M.F.A. in Visual Effects, and is working toward her third degree in the MBA program. In her work, Trelanda combines psychological and comedic stories to broaden the world's perspective on global social issues by writing and directing content that is intellectually twisted, captivating, and thought-provoking.
With analog (cross-process, B&W, color, e-6, and other gelatin processes) and digital media, Trelanda is passionate about delivering a visual experience. Photography was the first art medium that steered Trelanda to where she is today in the media industry. As a result of this, her award-winning podcast Phenomenal Disabilities, is branded under her self-owned production company Vision Edge Media, and she is the President and Creative Conceptual Artist at Bourgeois Magazine LA. Trelanda's work has debuted on Facebook Live (ADA30 Lead On Celebration of Disability Arts, Culture, Education and Pride (2020), ADA31 Lead on CELEBRIZE! Celebrate & Recognize Non-Apparent Disabilities (2021), ADA Lead On Honors National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) (2020), ADA Lead on Presents Black Future Month: Legacy Present and Afro-Futurism (2021)), Hearing You Breathe (2022), Platonic Love (2023), Drama No Drama (2019), Bad Time (2017), VConscious: Capital One (2018), Kickstart Theft (2012), WNET Group Commitment to Accessibility and a multitude of other media content.
Trelanda believes it is extremely worthwhile to give back and teach others to become effective writers while providing disabled-relevant content globally as Editor-in-Chief for LCA Marketing/Newsletter. Trelanda became the Post-Production Supervisor for ADA LeadOn Productions in 2019 and an LCA Core Leadership Mentor in 2020. She is an active juror for National Magazine Awards, Aiva's: Davey, Communicator, and W3 Awards, besides being a former journalist and judge for Women's eNews. In addition, Trelanda received two awards for her collaboration with ADA LeadOn Productions and Black Future Month Production. Trelanda also received two Davey Awards - Diversity Equity & Inclusion for Podcasts in 2022 and (DEI) for Individual Episodes in 2023.
Furthermore, Trelanda has presented at various organizations, including Virtual World Community Development Conferences (VWCDCs), Bender #NotAshamed, and ReelAbilities. Trelanda wants to see more community members branch out into various career sectors, including executive leadership roles. Because of this, she advocates for those navigating to find their voice within the community and be proud of who they are.
