Andy Siege is an award winning filmmaker from Germany. He was born in Nairobi,
Kenya in 1985 as the son of German aid workers. Andy Siege directed, wrote, edited, did the cinematography for, and acted in his acclaimed first feature film "Beti and Amare" He spent his childhood growing up between Africa and Europe. When asked as a small child what
he wanted to be as an adult he would say: "Cowboy, and Film Director."
Andy Siege published his first short story in the German children's
magazine "Der Bunte Hund" when he was 13 years old. He was written and
directed various short films and stage-plays since then. Andy Siege
studied Creative Writing and Film in Canada, and in 2010, he gained a
Masters Degree in Political Science from the University of Bath in the
UK. "Beti and Amare" is Andy
Siege's first feature film.
