DC Studios is ready for you to give them another chance. After months of secret meetings and sequestered writing, DC Studios Co-CEO James Gunn revealed a handful of projects which are set to begin the Dcu anew. There's the typical fare, like a new Superman film entitled "Superman: Legacy" and a new Batman film entitled "The Brave and the Bold," but there's also the stuff that Gunn clearly pitched, like an animated series entitled "Creature Commandos" that will feature Weasel (Sean Gunn) from "The Suicide Squad" and a live-action series entitled "Booster Gold" that will follow DC's version of Syndrome (Jason Lee) from "The Incredibles." And that's only some of the weird titles he revealed.
During the press event, in which Gunn and Peter Safran, the other Co-CEO, announced "Chapter One: Gods and Monsters" -- which we suspect is a similar segmentation to the phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe...

Samantha Strauss on the set of ‘The End.’
Two days ago Samantha Strauss spent much of the day under the doona, literally crying about the state of the world.
Yesterday Strauss, one of the country’s most successful screenwriters, was back at her computer, working on multiple projects in development for Made Up Stories and Nicole Kidman’s Blossom Films, Joanna Werner and See-Saw Films, including a second season of The End.
“I’m incredibly lucky but it is such a time of unparalleled shitness. I still have some scripts to deliver so that will tide me over for a while.” she tells If.
“It does feel like there’s a responsibility for us content makers to work our arses off right now and have a whole lot of local content ready to be made, just as soon as this hell is over.”
Meanwhile writer Shaun Grant is at home in Los Angeles,...

I came across this incredibly fun Star Wars and Pixar mashup art called “Pixar Wars” and I had to share it with you! The art you see above was created by Mark Chilcott and it features Edna Mode as Darth Vader, Elastigirl as Princess Leia, Syndrome as Kylo Ren, Sully as Chewbacca, Carl as the Emperor, Mike as Yoda, Mr. Incredible as Han Solo, and Dash as Luke Skywalker.
It would be fun to see this get a fan-made animated short. I do have to say, though, that I hate to see sweet Carl as the evil emperor Palpatine. He should have been Obi Wan Kenobi!

(Note: This post contains some spoilers for “The Incredibles 2.”)
In “The Incredibles 2,” the heroic family at the center of the movie boasts a slew of impressive superpowers that apparently stem from their genetic makeup. And the most powerful of all is also the youngest (and tiniest): Infant son Jack-Jack, whose powers were a secret from his family (but not from the audience) in the original “The Incredibles.”
Bob, a.k.a. “Mr. Incredible” (Craig T. Nelson), and Helen, a.k.a “Elastigirl” (Holly Hunter) their super-speed-powered son Dash (Huck Milner) and invisibility-force field generating daughter Violet (Sarah Vowell) spent the entire run of the first “Incredibles” movie thinking baby Jack-Jack (Eli Fucile) was just a normal human. Audiences were in on the joke, though, seeing some of Jack-Jack’s special abilities onscreen toward the end of that movie.
But in “The Incredibles 2,” the jig is up as Bob finally...

Information has been kept tightly under wraps so far about Pixar’s upcoming superhero sequel The Incredibles 2. Now, however, the official Facebook page for the movie has just dropped a ton of fresh intel. Not only do we know the names of the new characters joining the cast, but we’ve also got a bunch of artwork which reveals what these new additions look like.
First off, the images reintroduce us to some of the familiar faces who’ll be returning from the 2004 animated classic. We have Holly Hunter as Elastigirl, who’s being bumped up to the role of protagonist for the sequel, Craig T. Nelson as Mr. Incredible, Samuel L. Jackson (Frozone), director Brad Bird (Edna Mode) and Sarah Vowell (Violet Parr). Dash Parr is, of course, involved as well, but young actor Huckleberry “Huck” Milner is taking over from Spencer Fox. Jonathan Banks is also returning as minor supporting character Rick Dicker.
