George Alexander Hartline III was born in Scottsboro, Alabama on
October 29, 1979 to Carolyn Robbins, a curtain maker and custom home
interiors business owner, and George Hartline, a truck driver and
inventor. Hartline lived in Section, Alabama until he left for college
at the University of Alabama, where he studied music and Spanish. After
joining the Marine Corps during college, he taught high school Spanish
in Fort Payne Alabama for a year before serving a tour of duty in Iraq.
Upon his return, Hartline moved to California, forming a band under his
name with Steve Denning, the current drummer in his band "The Harmless
Doves". Hartline attended law school at Chapman University in Orange
County, California while performing with the Harmless Doves, and is
licensed to practice law in Alabama. The Harmless Doves released their
EP "Down to the River" in 2012.
