“L.A. has come of age — I’ve heard that so many times in the past decade. It has always sounded provincial and defensive,” says Dean Valentine, co-founder of the Felix Art Fair. “We’re one of the four or five global capitals of contemporary art. We always had the artists. But now we have the museums, the galleries, the collectors and, obviously, the art fairs.”

Riverdale’s storyline always perplexed the audience. Sometimes, it made sense, and most of the time, none of it made sense. However, the show gave us unique talents and solid friendships. Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes and Madelaine Petsch are one such trio who became good friends on the sets. The ladies often shared beautiful pictures and cool TikTok videos.
So, has anything changed ever since the show ended? Did their friendship change, and is the cast still connected via group chat? Camila has answered these burning questions.

Kathryn Newton channeled her inner “Lisa Frankenstein” for a special screening of the film at the Hollywood Athletic Club, donning a dramatic black corseted Vera Wang gown with exaggerated tulle hips.
“There was no other dress option. I have a little heart I took from my last boyfriend,” Newton told Variety on the black carpet, pointing to her blood-red heart-shaped choker and giggling, “Just kidding – I don’t have a boyfriend!”
In the film from Zelda Williams, Newton’s Lisa and a re-animated corpse dubbed “The Creature” (Cole Sprouse) embark on a murderous journey to make him whole by claiming some of his missing body parts from the living. Even though Sprouse doesn’t speak a single word in Diablo Cody’s campy script, communicating only through grunts, Newton says they had no trouble selling their chemistry.
“Have you looked at Cole Sprouse? It’s very easy to have chemistry.

Riverdale came to an end after seven seasons on the CW revealing that the show’s four main characters, Archie, Betty, Veronica and Jughead, ended up in a polyamorous foursome.
Viewers were able to witness each of the characters hook up with each other, including Betty and Veronica. However, Archie and Jughead were never seen experimenting which left some fans puzzled as to why this never occurred.
Now Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is opening up as to why Kj Apa’s Archie and Cole Sprouse’s Jughead were never seen hooking up.
“We did not shoot Kj and Cole hooking up,” Aguirre-Sacasa told TVLine in an interview. “We hadn’t even really laid even the barest seed of there being a romance between Archie and Jughead. Not even a whisper of that… We hadn’t really explored or even hinted at that, where we had with all the other couplings.

Riverdale’s series finale shocked viewers with the revelation that Archie, Betty, Jughead and Veronica had spent their senior year of high school in a polyamorous foursome. But one part of that foursome remained tantalizingly unresolved.
In flashbacks, we saw that Betty hooked up with Archie and with Jughead, Veronica hooked up with both boys as well, and Betty and Veronica experimented with each other, too. But what about Archie and Jughead? Fans demand to know: Was a passionate make-out session between stars Kj Apa (Archie) and Cole Sprouse (Jughead) left on the cutting room floor?

Riverdale star Kj Apa says the show’s constant shirtless scenes with him “messed” him up.
The actor opened up about sometimes disagreeing with how his character Archie Andrews was sexualized throughout the series.
“I’ve been through a lot of s— with that. It can mess with your head a little bit,” he explained.
The New Zealand actor recounted how his original enthusiasm about shirtless scenes eventually turned into a stressor.
“At first, as a young child, which is what I was, I thought it was cool – you almost want the opportunity to be shirtless. I was like, ‘Yeah, let me take my shirt off. Boom!’ And then you gotta consistently stay in incredible shape. It takes a toll,” he explained to Variety.
He recalled times when he didn’t know how to advocate for himself regarding this dilemma.

In true Riverdale tradition, the final season of The CW drama was all over the place in both tone and subject matter. After six seasons spent in the present day, creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa sent Archie (Kj Apa) and the gang back to 1955 — and back to high school — where they navigated the rigid expectations set forth by Riverdale's adults and society at large. Storylines about a town-wide comic book ban and Archie's internal conflict over whether to pursue poetry or basketball played out alongside references to Emmett Till's murder and the Red Scare, creating exactly the kind of cognitive dissonance for which the show became known.

Over the course of seven seasons, “Riverdale” has told a lot of wild stories involving time travel, multiple universes, supernatural forces and more generally surreal weirdness than one might expect from a teen drama on The CW.
However, when the long-running series came to a close on Wednesday, the show wrapped everything up with a somber, emotionally powerful and surprisingly heartfelt story in which essentially everyone died. Or, more accurately, everyone was already dead when the finale began.
The show kicked off in the present day with an 86-year-old Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) sitting at home, where she reads in the newspaper that Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) had died at the age of 84.
Soon, however, she gets a visit from Angel Jughead, who magically transports her back in time to the 1950s, to Betty’s last day of senior year in high school, which she originally missed because she was sick at the time.

After seven seasons of chaotic storytelling, time travel and musical episodes, the CW bid farewell to “Riverdale” with a touching and somber finale Wednesday night. Appropriately titled “Chapter One Hundred Thirty-Seven: Goodbye, Riverdale,” the installment featured a return to the present day before one last trip down a grief-stricken memory lane.
Before we get into the finale, the penultimate episode established that Angel Tabitha (Erinn Westbrook) announced she’d blended the multiverse into the 1950s timeline and restored the good memories of the Riverdale teens’ present day lives, leaving them in the 1950s to help change the world for the better. Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Betty (Lili Reinhart) chose to keep both the good and the bad memories in secret.

Riverdale season 7 gave our characters a fresh slate in the 1950’s, embracing their “classic Archie Comics counterparts.” However, in the penultimate episode, they all finally got their good memories back from Angel Tabitha (Erinn Westbrook) with only Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Betty (Lili Reinhart) choosing to remember both the good and bad.
With all of the absurd storylines that have taken place throughout the seasons, including time travel, it makes sense to say goodbye to Riverdale as the town that was once lost in time with one last epic journey. Whether you’re satisfied with where your favorite characters end up, one thing is for sure, you’re going to need tissues. Here’s what really went down in the show’s finale.

It’s time to say goodbye to Riverdale, which ends its impressive seven-season run, aptly, with a series finale entitled “Goodbye, Riverdale.” Impressive because, well, the adaptation of the Archie Comics crew was a weird kid from the get-go: A mix of Twin Peaks, snark, ’50s-style gangs and teen-sex soap with a side of musical elements and a young cast of relative unknowns. Mostly CW fare, for sure, but strange enough to run the risk of being lost in the mix. However, thanks to the instant youthful alchemy of Kj Apa, Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Madelaine Petsch, Vanessa Morgan, and Casey Cott, as well as the equally root-worthy adults played by Molly Ringwald, Mädchen Amick, the late Luke Perry, Skeet Ulrich, and Mark Consuelos, the show exploded and became a whole thing. It also helped that the project was cared for big time not just by series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa,...

The teenage drama Riverdale ends after starting as a live-action Archie Comics adaptation, quickly evolving into a genre-hopping, time-traveling experiment in narrative television.
Since 2017, the 26-year-old actor has portrayed Archie Andrews on the TV show, and he acknowledged that he frequently felt uneasy when filming naked sequences.
Riverdale included plenty of s*x, violence, a self-referential sense of humor, and n*de moments from series star Kj Apa while stealing from wholesome sources. Kj Apa felt uncomfortable with his “Riverdale” character being s*xualized.
The Riverdale cast is starting to talk openly about their experiences working on the show as the series’ last episode approaches. There have been several sequences over the seasons of sweaty, shirtless Archie and Reggie and Betty, Veronica,...

As Riverdale comes to a close after seven seasons, Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendes are sharing their thoughts on The CW series constantly being mocked by fans on social media.
In an interview with Vulture, conducted before the actors strike, several castmembers looked back at their time on the Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa-created show, seven years and 135 episodes later, including what they won’t miss about it. Reinhart proceeded to admit that it wasn’t easy knowing that “our show is made fun of a lot.”
“People see clips taken out of context [on social media] and are like, ‘What? I thought this was about teenagers.’ And we thought so as well — in season one,” the actress said in the interview published online Tuesday. “But it’s really not been easy to feel that you’re the butt of a joke. We all want to be actors; we’re passionate about what we do.

Riverdale's final season has pushed its characters from their adult states back to a teenage facsimile -- only this time, they're stuck in the 1950s.
For some, the '50s were the reset they'd been hoping to see from Riverdale, which can offer fresh, campy storytelling. For others, Riverdale's foray into the '50s has fallen hopelessly flat.
Riverdale Season 5 starts with a seven-year time jump that aged all the characters from high school seniors to aimless twenty-somethings. Divulging in more mature plots and relationships that the high school years hadn't seen before, the time jump allowed the characters to continue to grow.
Riverdale Season 6 moved into the supernatural, with the season culminating in Riverdale Season 6 Episode 22, "Chapter One Hundred and Seventeen: The Night Of The Comet," wherein the residents of Riverdale were faced with a new kind of peril as a comet hurdled towards them, threatening to wipe them...

It's never a dull moment whenever Hiram Lodge returns to Riverdale. We can always guarantee he's lying or being underhanded about something.
In this case, Hollywood's big TV star is in major hot water on Riverdale Season 7 Episode 13.
Plenty of accusations and heartbreak marked his big return to the world of Riverdale. A somber chapter that exposed the ugliness of the town and the time period.
"Chapter One Thirty: The Crucible" left us feeling grim and sad in this thought-provoking chapter. With a story focused on paranoia, betrayals, and accusations, Riverdale once again showed how ugly Riverdale 1955 could be.
For much of Riverdale Season 7, the style played more on the sweet and sugary feeling of the 1950s, even through the murders. But the darker reality of the decade is the juicier draw that feels more like the show we love.
Like for instance, the terrible accusations made against Mrs. Thornton.

Make room for Daddy, Riverdale! Even though his villainous-but-so-hot Hiram Lodge was offed in Season 6, original series cast member Mark Consuelos is swaggering back into the town with pep, thanks to this final season’s alternate timeline-jump back to 1955. In this current universe, not only is Hiram alive but he’s also the reigning star — along with wifey Hermione — of “America’s #1-rated television program, Oh Mija,” as nepo-baby Ronnie (Camila Mendes) revealed in the season opener. And in the June 28 episode, he’s bringing that square jaw and glorious head of slicked-back hair from Hollywood to the halls of Riverdale high. In TV Insider’s exclusive clip from the hour (directed by fellow Riverdale parent Mädchen Amick), “Chapter One Hundred and Thirty: The Crucible,” Veronica proudly introduces her famous dad to the gang, who have varying reactions to being in the presence of TV royalty. Archie (Kj Apa) goes for earnest admiration,...

On the off chance that the newly contrite Zaslav remains in mea culpa mode for another day or so, we are appealing to the Hollywood mogul to undo a few of his other controversial decisions.

Betty's dating life just got a whole lot steamier.
The #Barchie fans got their long-awaited build-up on Riverdale Season 7 Episode 6. Their romantic tension bubbled to the surface and overflowed big time.
Riverdale has been pushing its boundaries and steaming our screens lately. A pinch of spice? We got a whole batch of it.
"Chapter One Hundred Twenty-Three: Peep Show" served a big plate of teasing and anticipation.
A little light filler, some toying with Barchie, and a powerful, shocking end. It's a great way to hook viewers for the next chapter, but the pacing dragged on too much. Unfortunately, it did get dull at times.
We gotta give Betty her credit here. She put herself out there to try something even when she felt embarrassed doing it.
Asking someone out face-to-face is nerve-wracking. You're taking the rejection at face value, and she had no clue how Archie would react.

The clock continues to count down on Riverdale as the seventh and final season serves up the fourth of its 11 episodes. In tonight’s outing, the overheated teens of the town with pep are once again causing a ruckus: Betty (Lili Reinhart) puts Kevin (Casey Cott) on warning for refusing her randy advances, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) gets into a pickle only Veronica (Camila Mendes) can get him out of, and Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) decides to pull a fast one on her family with some help from Archie (Kj Apa). Watch an exclusive sneak peek of that last one above. We’d say it’s all innocent fun, but you know these kids. They are not squeaky clean, never have been. Which is probably why we have spent the past seven seasons with them. Regardless of the era they are inhabiting, Archie and the gang know how to put the bad behavior in a good time.

Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from the Season 7 premiere of The CW’s Riverdale.
It’s the beginning of the end for Riverdale. The series kicked off its final season on Wednesday, picking up where the last moments of Season 6 left off, after the characters were suddenly transported back in time to the 1950s right before Bailey’s comet decimated the town.
Archie, Betty, Jughead, Veronica and the rest of the gang are back in high school, in a decade that showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa says is “most associated with Archie Comics.” But while the season will certainly feel nostalgic, it also won’t shy away from the realities of the decade, Aguirre-Sacasa said.
“It would have been disingenuous to erase the real struggles and the real hardships that a lot of people in the 1950s faced, especially for our queer characters and our characters of color,” he told Deadline,...

"Riverdale" is ending after seven seasons of romance, intrigue, and absolute chaos, and it's still unclear where the show's many couples will end up. Of course, the Archie comics that the series is based on center on the iconic love triangle of Archie, Veronica, and Betty, played in the series by Kj Apa, Camila Mendes, and Lili Reinhart, respectively. The television show has seemed to favor Archie with Veronica, but what does the final season hold? And could Archie's fate in the comics be a clue? Here's what we know about Archie's romantic history.
Does Archie End Up With Betty or Veronica in Archie Comics?
In the comics, Archie is forever caught in a love triangle between Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge. This who-will-he-choose model has persisted through the decades and decades of comic-book issues. But there are some answers in the pages of the original franchise.

Riverdale will end with Season 7 at The CW, with the final season premiere airing Wednesday, March 29. Ahead of the YA drama’s final season, we’re looking back on Kj Apa‘s response to the show’s impending conclusion. Apa plays Archie Andrews in the supernatural melodrama, based on the Archie Comics. He’s joined by Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones, and Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge. TV Insider spoke with the star at The CW upfront presentation on Thursday, May 19, 2022. There, he told us how he feels about Riverdale coming to a close. While Apa said the cast wasn’t necessarily surprised by the cancellation, he was still saddened by the decision. “A lot of us kind of saw it coming. We knew it was going to finish sooner rather than later. But overall, I feel lots of mixed emotions. I’m sad,” he told TV Insider.

The final season of live-action "Archie" comics TV series "Riverdale", begins March 29, 2023 on The CW:
"...picking up where last season ended, 'Jughead Jones' (Cole Sprouse) finds himself trapped in the 1950's. He has no idea how he got there, nor how to get back to the present.
"His friends are no help, as they are living seemingly authentic lives, similar to their classic 'Archie Comics' counterparts, unaware that they've ever been anywhere but the 1950's.
"'Archie Andrews' (Kj Apa) is the classic all-American teen, coming of age, getting into trouble, and learning life-lessons. 'Betty Cooper' (Lili Reinhart) is the girl next door, starting to question everything about her perfect life - including her controlling mother 'Alice' (Madchen Amick), 'Veronica Lodge' (Camila Mendes) is a Hollywood starlet who moved to 'Riverdale' under mysterious circumstances.
"'Cheryl Blossom' (Madelaine Petsch) is the 'Queen Bee' with a withering wit and a secret longing.

Riverdale‘s final season premiere debuts Wednesday, March 29 on The CW, and the show is going to look a lot like the Archie Comics it’s based on when the gang returns to the small screen. In the Riverdale Season 7 premiere exclusive clip above, the series goes back to the beginning with a plot similar to the series premiere, except this time it’s set in 1955. In the ’50s-themed video, the gang meets the new girl in town, Veronica (Camila Mendes), and asks her about her Hollywood life. It doesn’t take long for her to spill the juicy gossip about the recently departed James Dean. Veronica reveals during her first lunch at her new school that she not only went skinny dipping with the star, but that he also “enjoyed playing both sides of the net — girls and boys.” While Archie (Kj Apa) and Julian try to impress the...

To find inspiration for Riverdale‘s future, the show’s writers looked back to the past.
When the CW drama returns for its seventh and final season this Wednesday (9/8c), it’ll take its boldest storytelling leap yet (and that’s saying something): Archie and the gang have been zapped back to the gee-whiz 1950s and are juniors in high school again, with no one having any memory of their former lives. (Well, no one except Jughead.) It brings Riverdale back to the world of the classic Archie comics, with jukeboxes and sock hops, and it allows the long-running...

Riverdale premiered back in 2017. As the CW series’ fans know well, the show has plenty of mystery and drama. Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, and Madelaine Petsch are some of Riverdale‘s talented cast members credited with making the series such a hit. However, some might be surprised to learn that a Riverdale movie was almost made before the TV show.
Even more surprising, instead of K.J. Apa playing the part of Archie, a disgraced comedian was set to take on the role for the big screen.
