Shakira lost her last artist in the game when Kristen Merlin was sent home from The Voice Tuesday night.
Tessanne Chin Returns To The Voice
The show started with a performance by Rascall Flats, but then Carson Daly went right into the saves of the night. This is The Voice… semi-finals! (We were trying to sound like the show's song, okay? Bear with us—we're not musically inclined.) After a few performances from Rascal Flatts, Jacquie Lee, Will Champlin, Tessanne Chin and a surprise appearance from Ed Sheeran, it was time to get down to business. As you can imagine, tensions were very high in the Voice arena, and for some reason, Adam Levine has decided to keep his bleached blonde hair. (Who else loved watching Blake Shelton make fun of his buddy's new 'do?!) Host Carson Daly eventually revealed that Jake Worthington and Josh Kaufman, were safe, and had secured two out of the three coveted spots in next week's Voice finale. This meant...

The season five winner of The Voice will join fellow finalists Jacquie Lee and Will Champlin as featured performers at the 125th Rose Parade on New Year's Day.

The trio will perform Chin's single "Tumbling Down" while standing on top of a Voice-themed floral float.

After three months of blood, sweat and trebles, the final contestants of The Voice‘s fifth season — Tessanne Chin, Jacquie Lee and Will Champlin – came together Dec. 17 for one last meeting of the melodies. Unfortunately, only one would emerge victorious at the end of the two-hour event.
With their remaining finalists singing for their lives — or, at least, for their careers – Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera were on pins and needles all night. Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green were also excited, but without any horses in the race, they more-or-less took a backseat this evening.
‘The Voice’ Winner: Tessanne Chin Wins Season 5
America has spoken, and Team Adam’s Tessanne Chin is officially the new Voice winner!

Another installment of The Voice has come to its feel-good conclusion — and all that’s left are the inevitable debates about whether Season 5′s champ will finally be the one to achieve breakout, Clarkson- or Underwood-level success and if Mark Burnett will come to his senses and go all Michonne on those blasted SwayBots between now and next spring. (Forgive them, Father, for they know not how to keep time with the music.)

They’ll rejoin Adam Levine and Blake Shelton in those famous red swivel chairs when season six begins Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. Et.
Like most Voice events, the premiere will take place over two nights, concluding Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. And while this means Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green will be taking the season off, don’t expect them to disappear from The Voice forever. Are you rooting for Tessanne? Find out why she told HollywoodLife.com she’s heading into the Dec. 17 finale with confidence.
Tessanne Chin blew the other two finalists out of the water Dec. 16 on The Voice, powering through a bombastic rendition of Whitney Houston‘s “I Have Nothing.” And when HollywoodLife.com caught up with the pride and joy of Team Adam after the live taping, she told us her performance gave her the confidence to head into the Dec. 17 finale with her head held high.
“I did my best, and gave 150 percent of what I could!” Tessanne told us. “Especially with the Whitney song, I knew that if I did that well, I could leave here … with no regrets. I’m not going to worry about [the finale]; it’s out of my hands. I’m going to drink a little rum, have a wonderful time with friends and get some sleep.

The other? Tessanne Chin wins it all.

Though Jacquie Lee gave Tessanne a run for her money, the pride & joy of Team Adam ended the night with a powerful performance that could secure her victory.
The Voice kicked off its two-night finale Dec. 16 with two hours of killer performances from the finalists – Tessanne Chin, Will Champlin and Jacquie Lee – as well as a few special guests! Though Will put on a good show, it quickly became a showdown between the two remaining ladies, and HollywoodLife.com is declaring Tessanne the winner.
Jacquie Lee Triumphs With ‘Back To Black’
The night began with Tessanne doing coach Adam Levine proud. Her performance of Pink‘s ”Try” was a little low-energy, but she sang it well; and for what it’s worth, it was the same song she used during the blind auditions. All in all, it was a nice reminder of just how much the three finalists have been through.
