Katy Marcella

Katy Marcella was born October 10 in Sarasota, Florida, and at age 2
moved to Minnesota. She began her acting career at age 7, performing in
college productions of "The King & I" and "Joseph & the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat" at Minnesota State University. After moving to
Rochester, Minnesota she also discovered a love for dance, and spent
her summers at ballet intensives at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet &
Milwaukee Ballet School.
While in high school, Katy's loves of theatre & dance meshed when she began choreographing academic & community-based theatre productions, as well as summer theatre classes. She was an active participant in her school's drama department & show choir, choreographing & performing in her school's production of "Disney's Beauty & the Beast." During her senior year of high school, Katy was the first recipient of Mayo High School's Jerry Smith Outstanding Performance scholarship, awarded to one student demonstrating outstanding performance & dedication to the drama department.
Katy received a BFA in Theatre Performance & minor in Dance from the University of Minnesota Duluth. While in college, Katy was selected to compete in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival's Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship competition for her role as Kendra in the original play, "Target Behavior." She also performed in the world premiere of Kerrigan & Lowdermilk's "Tales from the Bad Years."
After graduating from college, Katy moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue a film & television career.
