Meta‘s second-annual Creator Week begins on November 1, and the social giant is kicking off its seven-day celebration with an announcement. The company formerly known as Facebook has unveiled the inaugural class for its Creators of Tomorrow initiative, which highlights “emerging talent inspiring a new movement of creativity and connection.”
The Creators of Tomorrow list includes 25 tastemakers split across five categories. The Redefining Community group includes creators in niche categories, like “your favorite wellness girl” Elyse Fox. One honoree in the self-explanatory #NoFilter Empowerment category is Drew Afualo, also known as “Baba Yaga for misogynists.” The Italian-American chef known as Qcp will headline the On The Rise group (as long as he beats his felony rap). Dancer Smac McCreanor is a Creator of Tomorrow who is demonstrating Creative Excellence. Finally, the Future Ready category recognizes innovators like Paige Piskin, who is known for her use of filters.

Basically, to win the title of America’s favorite dancer, those who move on must go way beyond the comfort zone of their main style of dance and adapt to everything from ballroom to breakdancing. As a result some of those who get swiftly slashed are bound to hurt. And Season 16 proved no different on the initial round of the Academy slashing this week.

Tonight's premiere episode kicked off with with a hip hop audition from a female named Dezi Saenz. She ended up doing lots of popping, locking and animation. Afterwards, Nigel said it was tremendous. Laurieann said, "It was the definition of the natural born gift." Dominic said, " I enjoyed how much work you put in for the audition." Mary said, "You took it to another level." Dezi received 4 yeses from the judges. So, she's moving on to the next round. Next up, Stephanie Sosa...
