Marse Ratliff
- Actor
Born 1975 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Father (Dale M. Ratliff) and Mother
(Bonnie Ratliff). Throughout his childhood, years of artistic
expression made it clear that his life would be centered upon his
passion for illustration and acting. His first taste of theater was
during Junior High as he was offered a part in 2 different high school
musicals, but Marse's passion for theater died shortly after his father
passed away of cancer. He decided to enlist in the U.S. Military after
high school, to see the many sites that he wouldn't have seen if he
would have stayed in the little quiet town of Campcreek, Ohio. Marse
served aboard the USS Enterprise CVN 65 for 4 years as a Fire, Search
and Rescue team member. Skip ahead to 15 years later. After working one
mundane job after another, he decided to step back into acting. His
first role was as an extra (Business man/ Pedestrian) in Captain
America- The Winter Solider (2014). Then a couple weeks later, he
appeared as an extra (Draft Day War room Personnel) in Draft Day
(2014). Still trying to earn more acting experience, Marse appeared in
low budget film Hell at Heathridge (2013) as an extra (Bar Patron).
About a month after that he landed his first speaking role as Harvey in
I Found You (2014), which was directed by a first time writer and
director (Andrew Sgambati). Marse decided to embrace his artistic side
and move to Los Angeles to be instructed in the field of Special FX and
Beauty make up in January 2014, but needing some extra money to make
his journey. He decided to audition as an actor for a local haunted
house in Elyria, Ohio, which led him to experiment with horror make up
on himself and some of the other actors.
