Ashley "Kynessa" Rivers was born on March 16 1995 in Bangkok Thailand. After two years of living there with her beloved foster family, Ashley was adopted by an American family who provided her with a loving family, and home in which she could call her own.
Ever since Ashley came over to the United States, she had grown attached to Disney films as well as the characters themselves. Her favorite character isn't a princess, but a boy who never wants to grow up. Ashley grew very fond of Peter Pan and her love for the movie, the stories, and the characters have only grown stronger! Her imagination sometimes led her into trouble because she would rather be fighting pirates in Neverland with Peter Pan, than focus on her studies in school.
In first grade, Ashley became introduced to the world of acting! Being only six and landing a lead role in her high school production of "South Pacific" she flourished in the spotlight, making her even more curious to the acting business. Being from such a small town in central Pennsylvania, their wasn't much of an opportunity to break out into acting. Her parents have always been supportive of her dreams by letting her attend both Barbizon and John Casablanca for modeling and acting training in hopes that one day, she would reach her dreams.
Ashley has done a lot of community theatre productions as well as numerous High school performances and church plays. Her senior year in High School, Ashley got an honorable mention from Hershey Theatre Apollo Awards by being an outstanding lead actor in their school's portrayal of Disney's "Camp Rock The Musical" where she played the part of Dana Turner. Not only has Ashley been recognized as an outstanding performer, but she was also an active member in her selective group called "The Westside Singers!" Ashley auditioned for the group in the year 2009 and got in where she remained for four years! What's so special about this selective ensemble is that they travel all over the country, performing in places such as New York City, Virginia Beach, Walt Disney World, Washington D.C and San Francisco California! Each year they have came home with so many awards that are currently displayed in the music room at her high school.
Ashley graduated in the spring of 2013 from her High School, and continued to further her education in acting by studying the art at a local community college. As a college student, her curiosity for not just onstage work but off stage work had increased dramatically. Whether it was doing stage makeup, or stage crew, Ashley always wanted to be involved in every play production that her college would put on!
