Simone Lee Vanden
- Writer

The two most engaging powers of an author are to make the familiar seem fresh, and the unknown feel familiar. Simone & her collaborators seek to explore the unseen, undiscovered/unspoken recesses of the imagination.
Inspired immensely by the iconic Rod Serling's provocative topical themes as well as Alfred Hitchcock's master of the thriller. Shakespeare's unrequited love is among other prominent themes explored.
Though elements of enthralling storytelling are timeless, contemporary themes are limitless. With the advent of cutting edge science, the connection between spirituality, consciousness, energy and the aesthetic are largely unexplored.
Characters are the primary drivers of our storytelling, they define & anchor a story, and what happens/how they react, is what captives/compels all of us, because they are all of us. Simone seeks to mine deeper characters, driving genuine sagas of love, loss and acceptance. Perhaps, leading our characters to redemption, perhaps some kind of salvation.
It's the journey of discovery & redemption, which delivers our viewers someplace new. Even among the familiar.
