An unexpected feud between a Big Brother winner and a new Survivor player may have just begun.
Three episodes into the Survivor 46 season, it has been rough-sledding for one particular tribe. And viewers have noticed.
One such viewer seems to be BB15 winner Andy Herren, who shared some thoughts on social media.
Andy was part of a very troubled season of Big Brother that aired in the summer of 2013. Numerous racist and homophobic comments made by houseguests that season embroiled the reality competition show in controversy.
It has seemed like CBS wanted to distance itself from that season, with nobody from the BB15 cast returning to play the game again.
The troubled BB15 season and the casting for Survivor 46 set the background for a social media dust-up this week.

Jag Bains won his third comp and third Veto of “Big Brother 25” this week — and it wasn’t just any old Veto. It was Otev. And with it, he joins the esteemed list of Otev champs. But will he defy the Otev curse and become only the second Otev winner after Cody Calafiore to go on to win the game?
Before Cody, no one had ever won both in the same season. Since Otev made its debut in Season 7 in 2006, it’s been in every installment except Season 10. Here are all the Otev champs:
Season 7: Janelle Pierzina
Season 8: Eric Stein
Season 9: Ryan Quicksall
Season 11: Jeff Schroeder
Season 12: Enzo Palumbo

Michael Bruner picked up his fifth comp win and fourth Veto this week on “Big Brother 24” when he won Otev. Sure, he was also aided by Terrance Higgins throwing it to him in a misbegotten attempt to save Daniel Durston, but still, a win is a win. That also means that his festie bestie Brittany Hoopes is in the “Bb” annals as a co-winner of Otev even though she was the first one to be eliminated from the comp. As a superfan, Michael is no doubt aware of the Otev curse and the fact that Cody Calafiore broke it in 2020 when he became the first Otev champ to win the whole game in the same season. That didn’t kick off a new trend, though, since Alyssa Lopez was evicted in seventh place last season. Can Michael or Brittany become the second?

Alyssa Lopez won Otev this week on “Big Brother 23” — or technically, she was thrown it by Kyland Young, who wanted her to win so he could get the second Veto since he bet on her in Veto Derby. No matter, she’s still in the “Bb” record books now as an Otev champ. The good news for her is that the Otev curse has been broken, by Cody Calafiore last year, but the bad news is that she’s unlikely to pull a Cody and win the whole shebang.
Until Cody last season, nobody had won the iconic Veto comp and gone on to win the season. Otev was introduced in Season 7, the first all-stars installment, in 2006 and has been played every year except Season 10. Here are all the Otev champs:

It’s the end of an era. With Cody Calafiore‘s win on “Big Brother 22” on Wednesday, the Otev curse is has been broken as he became the first Otev champ to go on to win the game.

“Big Brother” Season 7 brought us the first ever “America’s Choice Jury Prize.” It was later renamed to “America’s Favorite Houseguest” to include all contestants as contenders for the coveted honor. On each finale night, host Julie Chen Moonves awards a $25,000 check to the “Bb” player with the most votes cast by America. As of 2020, Jeff Schroeder is the only player to win the prize twice. Who will be added to this list for the ongoing “All-Stars” season? Scroll through our photo gallery above to see the “Big Brother” America’s Favorite Houseguests list for all seasons.

Otev is making its grand return to “Big Brother” this week, and we just have to say two things: 1) If its identity isn’t mask-themed, then what is the point? 2) Good luck to whoever wins because no Otev champ has gone on to win the $500,000.

Depending on how you feel about showmances on “Big Brother,” one of the good/bad things about an all-stars installment is that most of these houseguests are older (you can debate whether they’re “wiser”) and probably married with kids or in a long-standing relationship (sometimes with people they had met in the house), which means there’s less of a chance of a showmance blooming.
There hasn’t been one (yet) on Season 22 — though some are trying to make Da’Vonne Rogers and David Alexander a thing, but it’s fetch — but let’s look back at some of the most memorable showmances in “Big Brother” history, some of whom are still together.

“Big Brother” is eyeing a second all-stars season this summer, and one of the possible houseguests might not be that old of a face at all.
On Monday, a day after “Us Weekly” reported that the show might stage an all-stars outing for Season 22, Season 21 alum Kemi Fakunle tweeted a cryptic message that has fans all atwitter (no pun intended).
“You only get a few once in a lifetime opportunities. Take demmmm,” she tweeted, along with a star eyes emoji.
Fans immediately speculated that she’s hinting at a Season 22 return.

After a wild, yet-to-be-seen house meeting, Tommy Bracco was evicted from “Big Brother 21” on Thursday, ending his dream of taking home the $500,000. But we told you last month that he wouldn’t win — because he had won Otev.

Tommy Bracco won Otev on “Big Brother 21” this week, which is great news for him and Christie Murphy, whom he saved after she became the third nominee from America’s Field Trip. It’s bad news for Cliff Hogg III and Kathryn Dunn, who remain on the block, and any “Big Brother” fan who craves shakeups, of which this season has been sorely deprived. But it’s also bad news for Tommy because no Otev champ has gone on to win the game.
Introduced in Season 7, the iconic Veto comp has been in every installment since except for Season 10, which was won by Dan Gheesling. Dan, of course, returned in Season 14 and played and won that Otev, but he came up short in the finale, falling to Ian Terry. So technically Dan is the only Otev champ to have won “Big Brother,” but those triumphs were in two separate seasons.

Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo were the best of the rest. The “Big Brother” couple was the last non-“Race” team standing on “The Amazing Race 31,” but the pair could not stop the all-“Race” final three and were eliminated in fourth place in London on Wednesday’s finale. Things may have turned out differently had they switched from the rowing Detour earlier, but alas, they tried to stick it out as long as they could.
Check out our exit interview below to see how long they were trying to get up a creek The Serpentine without a paddle with oars, how they think they would’ve done on the final leg, and why they ultimately made the right move during that U-Turn drama with Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater.

Rachel Reilly‘s new record on “The Amazing Race” looks to be short-lived. The three-time “Race” alum became the most traveled racer when she completed her 32nd leg on Leg 8 of Season 31 in Switzerland. She and sister Elissa Slater got eliminated that leg, so she couldn’t extend it any further. That allowed the Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, to tie her record on Leg 10 on Wednesday’s episode in the Netherlands, which means they could beat her record next leg.
Given how much the show drummed up Rachel breaking the record, Wednesday’s episode made no mention of Leo and Jamal matching her feat. But to be fair, the Afghanimals did provide a lot of content on their own with their ineptitude steering and finding boats in that canal.
With two cruel fourth-place finishes in Seasons 23 and 24, the Afghanimals came into Season 31 with 22 legs under their belt. Since there are two legs left,...

Team Fun made an egg-xtremely bad moo-ve on Wednesday’s episode of “The Amazing Race.” After getting U-Turned by Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo, who were already U-Turned by Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce had to complete the second Detour, which tasked them with pole vaulting to collect a dozen eggs and two blocks of cheese and then delivering them via tandem bike to a market in Kampen, Netherlands. Team Fun made the pole vault Switchback look easy as hell, but they didn’t do the easiest thing of them all: check the eggs for cracks. One had a hairline fracture and so they had to do it all over again, pushing them to last place. But at least this time they finished Leg 10 instead of getting a mercy elimination like in Season 29 when Floyd came down with heatstroke.
So why didn’t they check the eggs?...

It all started so well for Chris Hammons and Bret Labelle on Wednesday’s episode of “The Amazing Race.” They were on the first flight to Split, Croatia, with Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl, and they were in first place when they arrived at the Detour. And then it all went downhill. After struggling with the snorkeling-for-coins Detour in the Adriatic Sea, they decided to switch to the memorize-a-poem-while-tubing one, but after one attempt there, they went back to the coins. After another endless futile go, they switched back to the poem, which took them 10 tries to complete. They ostensibly had a chance to catch up when Colin Guinn and Christie Woods forgot their gnome, but the couple retrieved it before Team Bromance could recite their poem.
Needless to say, the “Survivor” BFFs know they shouldn’t have switched so many times, but they think their biggest gaffe was something they didn’t do earlier.

After back-to-back weeks of U-Turn drama on “The Amazing Race,” Leg 9 is here to give us airport drama!
The remaining six teams are off to Split, Croatia, on Wednesday’s episode, but first, they have to buy tickets. And in a throwback to the early seasons of the show, this doesn’t come easily. And then there’s the fact that Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, may or may not have cut in front of Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo in line. The sneak peek doesn’t show the alleged cutting, but Vicole can’t get the early flight they want. Don’t worry, though, because the early flight, carrying multiple teams, actually gets delayed. This is the drama we are here for.

We had some issues with the U-Turn Vote on “The Amazing Race,” and it turns out you did as well. About 47 percent of our readers said they don’t mind the new twist, but they wish the vote wasn’t done verbally. Amen.
Like we already pointed out, the verbal vote in last week’s episode screwed over Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, who had to go first after a pre-determined random draw. They voted for Colin Guinn and Christie Woods, who kept things even by voting for the Reillys. But would Colin and Christie have voted for the Reillys had they not gone first and picked them? Probably not. The Reillys were one of the weaker teams left.
That vote set up Chris Hammons and Bret Labelle, who had the final vote, to determine the second team that would be U-Turned in addition to Colin and Christie, who received three votes.

“The Amazing Race” introduced the U-Turn Vote on Wednesday’s episode, giving us not one but two U-Turned teams after Colin Guinn and Christie Woods, and Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater received the most votes. Ultimately, only Colin and Christie survived, coming in third, while the Reillys got eliminated. The U-Turn Vote certainly provided its share of drama, but like a lot of twists, it’s not perfect.
The U-Turn Vote is not new to the “Race” franchise, having been on multiple international versions, but the U.S. tweaked the twist by having the teams vote verbally based on a random draw. Rachel and Elissa went first, voting for Colin and Christie. Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo hemmed and hawed before he chose the Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, much to Nicole’s chagrin, who wanted him to do the Reillys but was totally wishy-washy about it. The Head-to-Head Battle on “The Amazing Race” is a headache, but it doesn’t have to. In a recent poll, 55 percent of readers said the twist needs to be moved earlier in a leg instead of being right before the Pit Stop.
In various international versions of the show, the Head-to-Head, a divisive twist in which two teams face off with the losing team facing the next team to arrive and so on, occurs earlier in the leg. But when it was introduced last season on the U.S. version, it was placed right before the Pit Stop, so the final losing team has no recourse, and it could nullify everything you’d already done on the leg. Moving the Head-to-Head to the middle of the leg would be a nice compromise, so whoever comes in last still has a chance of catching up. It’s just like having the...

Hey,"Amazing Race" fans. Tonight, June 5, 2019, the brand new 8th episode of this current season 31 did indeed air. The episode kicked off with the remaining 7 teams learning they had to travel to Ballenberg to get their very first clue for this leg of the race. Since Ballenberg didn't open until the morning, all the teams were allowed to catch up to each other. During this time, Rachel and Elissa took the opportunity to try and make up with Leo and Jamal for ratting out their plan to u-turn Victor and Nicole. Rachel confessed that they had made a Big Brother pact with Nicole and Victor. But since Victor and Nicole screwed them over, Rachel said it's over, and they are 100 percent loyal Leo and Jamal. Leo said he's not the type to hold grudges while Jamal said it still didn't sit right with him. Next, host Phil Keoghan announced that...

Last week’s U-Turn drama on “The Amazing Race” was just an hors d’oeuvre for the main course this week. Because the U-Turn Vote is at last here!
The fight between Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, and Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo really seeded the the ground for the stateside debut of the U-Turn Vote. Really, you could not have scripted that any better between the train argument and the mat tears. Like, are these two going to vote for any other team to be U-Turned but each other? The vote will be public, so there’s no way to hide behind it or blame others.

The U-Turn Vote is one thing nobody wants to win on “The Amazing Race,” but one unlucky team will on Wednesday’s episode. And if our readers had their druthers, that team would be Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, who dominated our poll with 74 percent of the vote.
This was expected since the Reillys are arguably the most divisive team left. And after the U-Turn drama with Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo last week — when they ostensibly tried to warn Nic and Vic that Team Fun wanted to U-Turn them only to have that backfire because Nic and Vic realized they just wanted them to target Team Fun — the Reillys haven’t completely endeared themselves to everyone.
The vote was such a blowout that no other team hit double digits. Next highest with 8 percent are the Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran. They’re another “not everyone’s cup of tea” team,...

The eighth leg on “The Amazing Race 31” won’t only give us the first-ever U-Turn Vote, but we will have a cow, literally. That’s because one of the tasks involves leading a cow. Yup, you know what that means: “My ox is broken!”
Press photos for Wednesday’s episode reveal that racers have to walk a cow down a hill. It’s unclear if this is a Detour or a route marker task (the Roadblock is to be William Tell), but the two teams shown doing it are Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, and yes, Colin Guinn and Christie Woods. If it is a Detour, we hope Colin and Christie chose it because it involved a cow. For them. For us. We deserve this.

The “Big Brother” blowup between Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, and Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo on “The Amazing Race” is confusing as hell, but it’s very clear which sides fans are on. About 68 percent of our readers are Team Vicole.
The argument in last week’s episode stemmed from the Reilly sisters ostensibly trying to warn Nic and Vic that Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, are planning to U-Turn them. But their ulterior motive was try to get Nic and Vic to target Team Fun and do the Reillys’ dirty work for them since their U-Turn on Leg 2 failed to get Team Fun out. Vicole knew something was up when the Reillys kept backtracking and were evasive with details about the conversation – which involved the Afghanimals and also identified Colin Guinn and Christie Woods as U-Turn targets.

As we saw in last week’s episode of “The Amazing Race,” the teams are definitely expecting a U-Turn. What they’re not expecting is a different kind of U-Turn. The U-Turn Vote makes its debut this week and you can see a sneak peek of everyone’s mind being blown when Phil Keoghan drops this twist on them.
Leg 8 is a second one in Switzerland and it kicks off with them running into a community hall, where they find Keoghan waiting for them. “Seeing Phil means that it’s gotta be something crazy, something that’s gonna shake up the race,” Nicole Franzel says.
“Switzerland is a country where everybody gets to vote. This a country that believes it has the oldest democracy in the world,” Keoghan opens. “So it seems only fitting that before we begin the next leg of the race, we have a U-Turn Vote.”

Still perplexed about that “Big Brother” beef on “The Amazing Race” after our super accurate dissemination of it? Don’t worry, now the parties involved have weighed in to clear the air.
In the latest episode of their podcast Coco Caliente, Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo give an in-depth account of their side of the drama with Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, which ostensibly erupted in Wednesday’s episode after the Reilly sisters told the couple that Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, wanted to U-Turn them, but kept backtracking and changing details so much that Nic and Vic wanted to ask Team Fun about it. “Well, I think people are confused,” Nicole says early in the episode. Understatement of the year.
Some background context first: Team Vicole says they were not close to the Reilly sisters at all before or during the show. Outside of the “Big Brother...

Leg 8 of “The Amazing Race” takes place in Switzerland and the episode is called “You’re the Apple in My Eye.” Put two and two together and you can probably guess what that is referring to. Yup, William Tell, the famed Swiss folk legend who shot an arrow through an apple on his son’s head. And that’s exactly what the teams are doing next week.
Well, not “exactly,” since there is no child involved; they’re just shooting with a rifle at an apple resting on a dummy’s head in a gorgeous Swiss field. From the looks from the press photos, the task is a Roadblock. Here’s everyone we know who is doing it.
Bret Labelle
Becca Droz

The newest twist on “The Amazing Race” — the U-Turn Vote — will make its debut next week in the most democratic of locations, Switzerland. And this is one situation in which winning is actually losing. So which of the remaining seven teams do you want to “win” the vote?
As we previously explained, the U-Turn Vote is not new to the franchise itself; its long been a staple of the Israeli, Chinese, Australian and Filipino versions. The Israeli version introduced it on its second season in 2011. The U.S. version might tweak it, but it basically works as you’d expect: At the start of the leg, the teams each vote for who should be U-Turned. The team that receives the most votes will be U-Turned and has to complete both Detours.
Given all the U-Turn drama on Leg 7 between Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, and Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo,...

Another leg on “The Amazing Race,” another leg win by an “Amazing Race” team. The “Race” alums kept their hot streak alive on Wednesday’s episode when Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl came in first for the second consecutive leg. That brings the “Race” duos’ perfect leg win record to 7 for 7, but we also marked another milestone on the other end of the spectrum with the Leg 7 results. Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo getting saved by the non-elimination leg means that every non-“Race” team has come in last now.
The season started with five “Race” teams, three from “Survivor” and three from “Big Brother.” Outside of Art Velez and Jj Carrell‘s Leg 1 elimination — which was caused by Art’s literal leg issues, spurring their four-hour penalty — it’s clear racers have been superior on a show they’ve done before. Every team that’s been axed or been...

So we were partially right. The “Big Brother” feud between Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, and Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo on Wednesday’s “The Amazing Race” involved a U-Turn, but not the U-Turn Vote (that’s next week — that Swiss flag don’t lie!). Instead, their argument was about… well, we don’t blame you if you have no idea. So let’s try to break this down.
It all started when the Reilly sisters ostensibly let bygones be bygones with Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, whom they had U-Turned on Leg 2, over beers with the Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, before their flight to Zurich. Team Fun and the Afghanimals agreed that the top U-Turn targets going forward are Colin Guinn and Christie Woods, and Nicole and Victor, given their high finishes so far. Rachel and Elissa were not on board since they had formed...

After making rolex in Uganda, the remaining seven teams on “The Amazing Race” are now off to Switzerland, aka home of Rolex! Did they plan it this way? Let’s hope so. Too bad Janelle Pierzina isn’t around to enjoy this.
The jaw-dropping moment of Wednesday’s episode will for sure be the Roadblock, which will have racers leaping 400 feet into the Gletscherschlucht Glacier Gorge. Between this and the zipline in Dubai, this season is not for the faint of heart.
But the drama of the hour — however much there actually is — will come courtesy of Rachel Reilly, of course. She’s very peeved about something Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo did, which may or may not involve the U-Turn Vote. Seeing as how the show has not even teased the new U-Turn Vote this week, you may want to lean on “not.”

It will be a clean sweep on “The Amazing Race” by “The Amazing Race,” according to our readers. All six legs on Season 31 have been won by former “Race” teams, and 47 percent of fans now believe racers will claim the rest of the legs.
So far, the Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, have won the first two legs; Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, took Legs 3 and 5; Colin Guinn and Christie Woods prevailed on Leg 4, and Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl won Leg 6. You just can’t buy “Race” experience, ya know? They are also the only “Race” teams left, outnumbering the “Big Brother” and “Survivor” duos four to two to one. So we could definitely have an all-“Race” final three.
See Janelle and Britney (‘Amazing Race’ exit interview) on that Rolex blunder: ‘You just felt helpless’
But 43 percent of readers think a “Big Brother” team can snap that streak.

For the fifth and sixth times this season on “The Amazing Race,” a “Race” team has won both legs. Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, scored their second first-place finish on Leg 5 after also taking Leg 3, while Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl came in first on Leg 6. Those follow Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran‘s twin wins on the first two legs, and Colin Guinn and Christie Woods‘ triumph on Leg 4. Yup, a non-“Race” team still hasn’t won a leg and we’re halfway through the season now. Can this “Race” domination continue or will someone break through?
Of course, it makes total sense that the “Race” alums have been doing well, especially in the early goings. This ain’t their first rodeo. But it is kind of hilarious and also perfect that they’ve still had a stranglehold on first place, as if to say, “This is my house!

After a cry-fest at the mat with the #MomSquad Janelle Pierzina, Britney Haynes, Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater on Wednesday’s “The Amazing Race,” the preview for next week’s episode teased a far less cordial interaction between the Reilly sisters and their “Big Brother” brethren Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo.
All we know from the preview is that they’re arguing on a train. Actually, it’s more like Rachel lashing out while Nicole and Victor stand there silently, and Elissa tells Rachel to calm down. Then we get another scene of Nicole saying she doesn’t want to hurt anybody and Rachel shutting her down, telling her not to play the victim, as Victor attempts to roll his eyes to the furthest point back of his head. Tag yourself. I’m Victor.

After getting edited out of the fourth leg, the Head-to-Head returned on the sixth leg on Wednesday’s “The Amazing Race.” It took out Janelle Pierzina and Britney Haynes, who lost the final face-off to their “Big Brother” pals Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater. If you don’t like the Head-to-Head, you were Ok with that outcome since Janelle and Britney were already last. If you like or are even just indifferent to the Head-to-Head, you probably were like, “What even was the point of that? It didn’t change anything.” So we gotta ask: Is the Head-to-Head the lamest “Amazing Race” twist?
Introduced last season, the Head-to-Head has already been on numerous international editions of “Amazing Race.” The premise is mostly the same — two teams battle against each other with the losing team facing off against the next arriving team and so on — but they all occur at different...

Fifth time’s the charm? Only alums from “The Amazing Race” have won the first four legs of Season 31 so far, which makes sense since this ain’t their first rodeo like it is for the “Survivor” and “Big Brother” teams. That streak will end eventually and 78 percent of our readers believe it will be Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo who do it.
Team Vicole is by far the safest bet. The “Big Brother” couple has performed the best out of the non-“Race” teams, notching three straight second-place finishes after coming in sixth the first leg. Two of those silvers could’ve been golds: Nicole was tricked by the Afghanimals in the second leg, who told her she was going the wrong way, and she and Victor were neck and neck with Colin Guinn and Christie Woods heading to the Pit Stop on Leg 4, but actually went the wrong way this time.

Four weeks into “The Amazing Race 31,” the only teams to have won legs are, well, “Race” alums. The Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, won the first two, followed by Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, who dominated Leg 3, and Season 5 runners-up Colin Guinn and Christie Woods recovered from a Detour flub to take Leg 4 on Wednesday. It’s no surprise that the “Race” veterans are ruling the course right now, but which non-“Race” team — there’s one “Survivor” duo left, while all three “Big Brother” ones are still around — will be the one to end this streak?
The obvious answer is Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo. As Phil Keoghan noted in Wednesday’s episode, the “Big Brother” lovebirds have performed the best out of all the “Survivor” and “Big Brother” teams, finishing sixth, second, second and second. Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins may have nothing against Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater now, but if you ask Janelle Pierzina and Britney Haynes, they definitely did during “The Amazing Race 31.”

“Or they’ll talk sh–,” Janelle adds. “Like if I walk up to Eliza and Corinne, they’ll start talking sh– about the Reilly sisters, like, ‘Oh my God, when she asked you for that gummy bear, were you pissed?’ I’ll be like [faking it], ‘Yeah, I was so pissed. I didn’t want to give it to her.'”

If you were one of the people put off by Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins‘ ‘tude during their elimination on Wednesday’s episode of “The Amazing Race,” here’s some good news: The entire thing wasn’t as uneasy and awkward as what made the cut. Because obviously all the juicy stuff will end up in the episode.
An extended mat chat between Phil Keoghan, the “Survivor” alums, and Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater (watch above) actually features some level-headed discourse. It’s unclear if this took place before Corinne and Eliza walked to the side to cry, as was shown in the episode, or if they cried, composed themselves and returned for the mat-terview. Regardless of how you feel about them, you can’t deny that Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins went out on “The Amazing Race” with a bang. The “Survivor” alums’ elimination on Wednesday’s episode was one for the ages, as they had to share the mat with Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, who nipped them for eighth place — this after saying how much they hate the Reilly sisters and will block them on social media when the sisters wouldn’t let them steal their cab earlier. The frustration was palpable and the bitterness was immediate. There were eye rolls and they had to walk off to cry and reiterate how much they hate the Rachel and Elissa.
But the truth is, Corinne and Eliza tell Gold Derby, they do not hate the Reillys. Plus, you may have already noticed that they haven’t blocked them on social media. Check out...

So that was awkward. Wednesday’s episode of “The Amazing Race” ended with possibly the most uncomfortable elimination ever.
Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins got the boot, arriving at the Pit Stop minutes after their nemeses Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater, and they — Eliza especially — could not deal. Rachel offered some platitudes about respecting them as racers and as women, which the “Survivor” alums immediately dismissed with eye rolls.
“It was definitely worse because it was to Rachel and Elissa,” Eliza said in a talking head. “And then to have to stand their at our elimination on the mat with Rachel and Elissa, who are like, ‘We respect you as women.’ I was like, get out of here with your fake B.S. Like I have no interest in hearing from them or speaking to them ever again.”

After our first non-elimination leg of the season last week, one team will definitely be ousted on Wednesday’s episode of “The Amazing Race.” Will it be lucky losers Chris Hammons and Bret Labelle, who were saved by the Nel, or another duo?
The remaining nine teams are staying put in Ho Chi Minh City for Leg 4. Chris and Bret have to complete that pesky Speed Bump on top of the regular tasks if they want to survive this week. The “Survivor” alums haven’t really adjusted to the freneticism of “Race,” so on paper it doesn’t sound good for them, but anything can happen on a new leg.

This will chart high on the Fun-o-Meter. In a recent poll, 28 percent of our readers believe that Team Fun, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, have been the most impressive team on “The Amazing Race 31” so far, which is already a quarter-way done.
Now it could just be recency bias here since Team Fun came out on top last week, crushing both performance-based tasks, dancing and karaoke-ing, which seemed made for them. Their average placement would probably be higher if they hadn’t been U-Turned on the second leg, making them hit the mat in ninth place, following their fifth-place finish in Leg 1. But to go from last to first is nothing to sneeze at.
In second with 24 percent of the vote are Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo. The “Big Brother” couple has done the best out of the “Survivor” and “Big Brother” racers, nabbing back-to-back second place finishes to go...

“The Amazing Race” is taking a detour into the water this week. Because that’s what the Detour options are.
New press photos for Leg 4, which again takes place in Ho Chi Minh City, reveal the Detour choices for the remaining nine teams — and who picked what. The options are to row a traditional Vietnamese basket boat to pick up items (the next clue?) or to build a water wheel. And just like the past two weeks, one of these was definitely the more popular choice.
Seven teams opted for the boat: Janelle Pierzina and Britney Haynes; Chris Hammons and Bret Labelle; Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl; Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins; Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce; Colin Guinn and Christie Woods; and Nicole Franzel and Victory Arroyo.

Slow and steady wins the race, or at least the Roadblock on Wednesday’s episode of “The Amazing Race.”
Leg 4, a second leg in Ho Chi Minh City, features a scooter Roadblock in which racers have to complete a test course. The course, naturally, isn’t just a racetrack or anything, but small circles and figure eights with arrows specifying which direction to go in. Sounds simple enough, but of course it’s not.
A sneak peek shows two racers tackling the course, Jamal Zadran and Elissa Slater. “It looks really hard, but luckily I have major balance,” Elissa says. Famous last words. She immediately goes out of bounds. Jamal doesn’t have any easier a time doing it, spinning off axis and putting his foot down, automatically disqualifying that attempt. We know he has at least four unsuccessful attempts and Elissa, five.

We’re three legs into “The Amazing Race 31,” which has already dismissed a “Race” team and a “Survivor” team, and has given us the first non-elimination leg of the season. A quarter of the season is now over, so who has been the best racers so far?
At first blush, it might feel like the Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, since they won the first two legs. But then they ran a terrible third leg in Vietnam and barely scraped by in eighth place. They’ve also managed to fool everyone with their fake fights and wrong directions, so either everybody this season is gullible as hell or the Afghanimals deserve an Emmy.
The Afghanimals’ three-peat was thwarted by Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce. Team Fun ran a stellar leg in Vietnam, granted they were helped tremendously by the performing tasks that were right up their alley. Still, after...

If it seems like Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins have a new enemy every week on “The Amazing Race,” it’s because they do. It was the Afghanimals, then it was Victor Arroyo, and next week it will be the Reilly sisters.
The preview at the end of the third episode teases a fight over a cab between the “Survivor” alums, and Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater. The Reilly sisters win out, much to Corinne and Eliza’s dismay. And Corinne and Eliza lets us know how they really feel in a new preview (watch above), which, you know, has never been a problem for them.
“I cannot stand them,” Eliza says. “Why are we not better at this than they are?”
Adds Corinne: “I really hate them.”

More than they hate the Afghanimals? Hard to tell. But...

“The Amazing Race” is turning into Dancing with the Reality Stars. Wednesday’s episode takes the remaining nine teams to Vietnam, where one of the Detours involves performing a choreographed routine in light-up costumes. And their judge is the strictest judge this side of Len Goodman.
“We love music, dance challenges,” Floyd Pierce says in the sneak peek above with a level of confidence that tells you it won’t go easily. That’s because the stern judge’s favorite word is “no,” which he repeatedly bellows to the teams who think they’ve aced it.

We love a no-hassle judge and kind of wish he says nothing else besides “no” and yes,” but alas he does offer the exhausted teams a few tips — “energy, power” — but those are both vague and subjective enough, not to...

In case you couldn’t tell from last week’s episode of “The Amazing Race” when they literally ran in the street to block a tuk tuk, Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins are not fans of the Afghanimals, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran. It’s unclear how this “feud” started — if you can even call it that — as all we got in the episode was Eliza saying the cousins weren’t helpful or nice. But a deleted talking head (watch above) reveals the true depth and source of the “Survivor” alums’ hostility toward them.
“The Afghanimals just remind me of the gen pop area of any crappy Las Vegas nightclub,” Corinne says. “They don’t have enough money for bottle service and they’re just milling around trying to get numbers. There’s something really skeevy about the two of them. And I can’t put my finger on it,...

We know what the Detour options are on the second leg of “The Amazing Race 31,” and now we know who did what — and when-ish.
The choices are to learn the Laotian alphabet or to cook a dish. As previously revealed, Corinne Kaplan and Eliza Orlins opted for the alphabet, while Rachel Reilly and Elissa Slater cooked. Corinne and Eliza also revealed that their fellow Survivors Chris Hammons and Bret Labelle cooked, quipping that Laotian sounds like Bret’s native Boston accent.
Well, cook was definitely the popular choice. Thanks to new photos released by CBS, we can see that eight of the 10 teams did cook. Now, yes, this leg has a Double U-Turn, but CBS, of course, isn’t dumb enough to release photos of the same team(s) doing both tasks if the U-Turns were used.
The other six teams that cooked are Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran; Colin Guinn...
