Brendan Wilson is a filmmaker, author and martial artist. He is the co-founder of El Oso Diablo Productions, LLC, a film making company. He served as an executive producer and writer for a short film, A Child Lies Here. The film was an official selection at twelve film festivals, where it garnered eight nominations and two awards, including Best Actor (Flagship City Film Festival) and Emerging Filmmaker (Trinity International Film Festival).
Other projects include a T.V comedy series called Greetings! From Prison and Doug's Christmas. Greetings! From Prison was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Series Premise and Outstanding Writing at the LA Webfest VI. The Series also won an IndieFest Film Award of Excellence Web Series.
Doug's Christmas won Best Illinois Film at the 2015 Route 66 Film Festival. It was an official selection at the Flathead Lakes, New Jersey, Bare Bones and GI Film Festivals. At Bare Bones it won honorable mention as Best Family/Drama; at New Jersey, it won Honorable mention. It was an official selection at the GI Film Festival in 2014.
Wilson founded Aristos Marital Arts, L.L.C. He holds a 8th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He won the 2009 Silver Medal in Taekwondo forms at the US Open. In 2022, He was inducted into the American Martial Arts Association's Hall of Honor.
A retired US Army Officer and former U.S. Army Ranger, he is the author of a number of articles on martial arts and military subjects including those on terrorism, military strategy and martial arts. Following his retirement from the US Military, Wilson served as a defense planner and diplomat at NATO. He holds a PhD in International Relations, a JD, an MBA and a BS in economics.
His science fiction novel, The Achilles Battle Fleet, was released in 2021.
