- Actor
Alex was born in Alexandria, Virginia to Cambodian-Chinese parents who escaped from their home in Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge's regime. He moved constantly from Virginia, Maryland, DC, and then finally Washington state. He found it difficult to socialize with his classmates in school. He instead stayed home, and watched films with his two brothers. Going as far as memorizing scene by scene and then reenact with friends while directing them. In high school, Alex acted in his first play, Shakespeare's "Midsummer Night's Dream" at Todd Beamer High School in Federal Way, WA in 2013
He eventually enrolled in Green River College in Auburn, Washington where he rediscovered his love for acting. At the Green River Theater, he played Job in "J.B.", Song Liling in "M. Butterfly", Lavatch (the clown) in "All's Well That End's Well", and Rosencrantz in "Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead". Alex graduated from Green River College with an Associate's in Arts.
After high school, he decided to audition for The Juilliard School for acting but was not called back. This only further motivated him to commit to producing his own films, and even acting in it since there was very little representation on Cambodian Americans. Ultimately, fulfilling a childhood dream.
