With the way last week’s Legion ended, there was a feeling that this finale couldn’t live up to what we’d already seen. Thankfully, we can trust Legion to deliver where it matters, and that includes a hint of what is to come in season 2.
With Lenny (Aubrey Plaza) now restrained within David’s (Dan Stevens) head, the next big problem is the return of Division 3 and Clark (Hamish Linklater), the interrogator from the first episode. Hardly in a position of power, will he be forced to work with David to handle the danger held within his mind?
It isn’t a surprise really that David handles Division 3 so easy, but what is interesting is that we get to see some...

Legion has been good at keeping its secrets, sometimes to an annoying level. Now though as we reach the end of the first season we come to the episode that provides most of the answers, setting us up for what appears to be an explosive finale.
With David (Dan Stevens) trapped deep in his mind, Lenny (Aubrey Plaza) is upping the stakes on taking over his body. With Lenny’s true identity finally revealed, Cary (Bill Irwin) and Oliver Bird (Jemaine Clement) discuss how to defeat the new enemy while Syd (Rachel Keller) works to free the rest of the group, including David before it is too late.
What we are given in this episode of Legion is the perfect episode. We are...

Legion had a definite theme this week, and that is about holding back. Whether it is David (Dan Stevens) being held back by Lenny (Aubrey Plaza), or the bullets that are set to ruin everybody’s day.
While an episode which is set back in the mental hospital may put the fear into many fans that this would be a weak episode, there really wasn’t anything to worry about. What we see is David being put in a protective reality, just a shame it is Lenny (or as we now know her, the Devil with the Yellow Eyes) that appears to be in control. What is interesting about the setting of this episode is how David’s reality uses a lot of...

Legion has held back on giving us the truth around David (Dan Stevens) but this week it feels that we are finally close to that answer. With Cary (Bill Irwin) finally working it out, maybe the problem of Legion isn’t all just in David’s mind?
After the events of last week, now is the time for David to finally show his powers. Finally going to Division 3 to save his sister, the big question is, just who is in control and is David’s actions is own or some other sinister power?
One thing that I’ve enjoyed about Legion is the handling of mental illness within the show. It has always been questioned whether it is David’s mental state, or...

If there is one thing we know about David (Dan Stevens) it is that he is an enigma, and Legion is taking its time in revealing the true answer. With him seemingly out of action though, this week we get to see the rest of the team search for answers.
While David is having an out-of-body experience and meeting Dr. Bird’s (Jean Smart) husband Oliver (Jemaine Clement), the rest of the group go on a road trip to find out the truth behind David. Finding out a darker side to his past though, it isn’t long before The Eye (Mackenzie Gray) catches up with them.
It seems each week I’m saying that this is the latest episode is the best so far,...

Watching each new episode of Legion is now officially the highlight of the week. Now that we are into the third episode we understand the characters and what they represent, but what happens when we get deeper into David’s (Dan Stevens) thoughts? Prepare for some dark times and sinister characters.
With David’s sister in danger, time is running out for him to understand his powers. Pushing deeper into his psyche, it seems that some things in his mind do not welcome the invasion and are prepared to fight back.
Having already pointed out that this is a more persona type of superhero show where it focuses on the character more than any grandiose events, this episode cements that fact in stone.

Legion is finally here, and with a first episode like last week it is fair to say that episode two had a lot to live up to. Carrying on from where the other left off, it is time for us to learn more about the people who saved David, and maybe more about the man himself…
With David (Dan Stevens) now free and reunited with Syd (Rachel Keller) it looks like he is now safe. With The Eye (Mackenzie Gray) on his trail though time is short for him to find answers, and not only about him, but also Syd and his other new friends too.
It almost feels like familiar territory when David is being tested to work out his powers. If anything,...

While it may seem that Marvel, Netflix and The CW are dominating the televisual superhero landscape at the moment, it looks like Fox are about to fight back. Legion is finally here, and based on the comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, it is offering something… a little different.
David Haller (Dan Stevens) is a troubled man, stuck in a psychiatric hospital with only his friend Lenny (Aubrey Plaza) for company it seems he may never escape to the real world. That is until he meets Syd (Rachel Keller) who he instantly hits it off with. After an “event” at the hospital occurs, he finds himself in the outside world, with many questions as to where Syd disappeared to and just what the hell happened.

Six school friends meet up for a drug-fuelled weekend on a remote island. What they do not know is the drug they scored is not what it seems; it is actually a new bioactive compound peddled by a sadistic right-wing terrorist organisation. Anyone consuming it is then exposed to a virus causing fits of psychotic rage, mind-bending chaos and cannibalistic murder.
Now that’s a synopsis I can get behind. If only the film matched up to it… Instead The Evil in Us gives us six annoying pricks doing stupid, annoying things – so much so that we, the audience, wish them dead, and the sooner the better.
Yes, this is one of those films where the ineptitude of the characters lets the entire concept of the movie down. Ideally we...
