Shannon was born in Tampa, Florida. He was raised by a loving family
who recognized his talents and encouraged him to pursue anything his
dreams desired. From that moment he knew there was an anointing in his
life. By the age of 15 Shannon knew he wanted to become an actor. Soon
after graduating from high school, he attended Florida A&M University
and was also a member of the Florida A&M Rattlers football team. He
graduated with his Bachelors Associates degree in Graphic Design.
Although he ran into rough times during his years in college while
playing football, his desire to act only encouraged him to push harder
and utilize every skill he had. On his journey Shannon ran into a women
by the name of Kim Kirby who discovered and brought out his talents.
His potential soon sparked the interest of a public relation
representative by the name of Cariece Peck. She soon became his manager
and continued with the development of his craft. He honed his craft
through various classes and workshops and ultimately found his way into
an audition with Tyler Perry Studios. Soon after, Shannon landed his
first acting role as Dr. Wallace in the hit stage play "Madea's Big
Happy Family." Shannon humbly considers his "big break" to be the
moment he became a working actor, and appreciates every day he has on
set.
