On October 25th, the Netflix streaming service will be releasing a horror film called Don’t Move, which was directed by Adam Schindler and Brian Netto, produced by Sam Raimi, and stars Yellowstone cast member Kelsey Asbille. But before we even get to see that Don’t Move, The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that there’s already another horror thriller called Don’t Move to look forward to. This other project stars Lyndsy Fonseca (Hot Tub Time Machine) and is based on the best-selling 2020 novel of the same name that was written by Darren Wearmouth and James Murray, a.k.a. The upcoming film, based on the best-selling 2020 novel of the same name, was co-written by Impractical Jokers star James “Murr” Murray, who also makes an appearance in the film.

Joining Lyndsy and Hunter in the ensemble cast are music star Russ in his feature film debut, The Flash‘s Tom Cavanagh, The Hangover‘s Rob Riggle, and Young Rock‘s Joseph Lee Anderson.

Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for Tyler Perry’s “Divorce in the Black,” starring Meagan Good and Cory Hardrict. The thriller will be available to stream globally on Prime Video starting July 11.

Per Amazon’s official logline, the film follows “Ava, a young bank professional who is devastated when her husband Dallas abandons a marriage she is determined to fight for until fate intervenes, revealing Dallas’ wicked deeds that have trashed their marriage, and once upon a time sabotaged Ava’s destiny to be loved by her true soulmate.”

“Young Rock” followed young Dwayne Johnson as he navigated his rise from unknown wrestler to Hollywood superstar. Together, Dwayne and his unorthodox family faced locker room politics, new rivalries and the perils of burgeoning fame as he found his voice in the WWE as The Rock. Told through stories from his own life, the show followed Dwayne’s journey to the top and the characters that kept him grounded — even as he set his sights on ever-bigger arenas.

Adrian Groulx, Bradley Constant and Uli Latukefu played young Dwayne during various stages of his childhood. Joseph Lee Anderson portrayed Dwayne’s late father, Rocky, while Stacey Leilua played his mother, Ata.

The show wrapped its third (and now final) season Feb. 24, averaging less than 2 million viewers per episode.

NBC has canceled “Grand Crew” after two seasons and “Young Rock” after three seasons.

“Grand Crew,” which comes from Phil Augusta Jackson and Dan Goor (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), followed friends Noah, Nicky, Sherm, Anthony, Wyatt and Fay as they navigated the ups and downs of life and unpacked it all at their favorite wine bar.

The cast includes Echo Kellum, Nicole Byer, Aaron Jennings, Justin Cunningham, Carl Tart and Grasie Mercedes. The hangout comedy is produced by Universal Television, with Jackson and Goor serving as executive producers.

Young Rock has been canceled at NBC after three seasons.

NBC revealed the cancellation today, along with Grand Crew, while a decision has yet to be made on the future of American Auto. Separately, it picked up single-camera workplace comedy St. Denis Medical, starring Wendi McLendon-Covey and David Alan Grier, to series.

Season 3 saw quite a dip in linear ratings compared to the previous season, managing about 1.4M viewers and a 0.25 rating in the 18-49 demographic, according to live + same-day Nielsen data. Compare that to Season 2, which drew an average of 2.23M viewers and a 0.39 rating. Season 1 was by far the most-watched, averaging more than 3M viewers per episode and an impressive 0.62 demo rating.

The third season premiered in November 2022 and ended its 13-episode run in February.

American Auto comes from Superstore creator Justin Spitzer. The series premiered its second season in January and it ended its 13-episode run in April.

Starring Ana Gasteyer, Harriet Dyer and Jon Barinholtz, American Auto hails from Spitzer and Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment. Written by Spitzer, American Auto is set at the headquarters of a major American automotive company in Detroit, where a floundering group of executives try to rediscover the company identity amidst a rapidly changing industry.

Harriet Dyer, Humphrey Ker, Michael B. Washington, Tye White and X Mayo also star.

NBC has ordered more seasons from three of its top comedies. Dwayne Johnson‘s Young Rock has been renewed for Season 3, and Grand Crew has been renewed for Season 2, the network announced May 12. American Auto‘s Season 2 renewal was previously announced earlier on May 12. Young Rock takes a comedic look at The Rock’s life, recreating the star’s most formative experiences throughout his life and early career. On Thursday, NBC confirmed it had renewed “Young Rock” for Season 3.

The series stars Johnson himself as he recounts tales of his younger years, Joseph Lee Anderson, Stacey Leilua, Adrian Groulx, Bradley Constant, Uli Latukefu, Ana Tuisila, John Tui, Fasitua Amosa and Matthew Willig.

Nahnatchka Khan, Dwayne Johnson, Jeff Chiang, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, Brian Gewirtz and Jennifer Carreras are executive producers.

“Young Rock” is produced by Universal Television, in association with Seven Bucks Productions and Fierce Baby Productions.

Additionally, NBC has renewed its comedy “Grand Crew” for a second season.

“Grand Crew” stars Nicole Byer, Justin Cunningham, Aaron Jennings, Echo Kellum, Grasie Mercedes and Carl Tart.

Sean Astin will play Dwayne Johnson’s childhood nemesis, the grudge-holding chiropractor Dr. Julian Echo, in “Young Rock” Season 2, NBC confirmed to TheWrap on Monday.

Astin will be a recurring guest star in the flash-forward segments of the NBC comedy, which returns on March 15. The character appears before election day 2032, claiming that Dwayne tried to kill him when he was a boy, an allegation that might ruin the former wrestler’s presidential bid.

Astin’s recent TV credits include playing heroic Bob Newby on “Stranger Things” and guest turns on “The Big Bang Theory,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Supergirl.” He also narrated Crackle’s “Playing with Power: The Nintendo Story.” Astin is repped by Stewart Talent, Luber/Roklin, and Attorney Dave Feldman.

Sean Astin is joining Dwayne Johnson’s “Young Rock” Season 2 in the role of The Rock’s childhood nemesis, Variety has learned exclusively.

A recurring guest star for the NBC comedy’s upcoming second season, Astin will play Dr. Julian Echo in the show’s fast-forwards. Dr. Echo, who had run-ins with Dwayne as a kid, is now a chiropractor from Minnesota who holds a grudge. He reappears two weeks before election day, claiming that Dwayne tried to kill him, a revelation that threatens to derail the Johnson presidential campaign.

Astin’s recent TV credits include playing Bob on “Stranger Things,” as well as guest stints on “The Big Bang Theory,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Supergirl.” He also served as narrator on last year’s “Playing with Power: The Nintendo Story.” The actor is also known for his roles in “The Goonies,” “Rudy” and “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy.

Per the official description for the character, who will be a recurring guest star on the upcoming second season of “Young Rock,” Dany is compassionate and caring while also being a disciplined athlete and future CEO. She starts as Dwayne’s college sweetheart at Miami, but soon becomes a guiding force in his life as he contemplates embracing the grind of professional wrestling.

Variety has exclusively obtained a teaser for “A Very Boy Band Holiday,” a special premiering on ABC on Dec. 6 at 8 p.m.

In the clip, members of iconic boy bands 98 Degrees, Boyz II Men, New Edition, New Kids on the Block, *Nsync and O-Town sing Christmas songs, banter together and celebrate the holidays at a mountain resort. In the special, these performers will sing some of their holiday hits, in addition to a new song (sharing a title with the special itself).

The special is executive produced by David Chamberlin, Michael Antinoro, Joe Mulvihill and Chris Wagner, with Helen Bromfield as co-executive producer. It is produced by 45 Live.

First Looks

Peacock debuted a trailer for “MacGruber,” the upcoming comedy series premiering on Dec. 16. The series is based on a recurring “Saturday Night Live” character who first debuted in 2007 and was then spun off into a feature film.

MacGruber will be back on the cast next month.

Peacock has confirmed the highly anticipated TV follow-up of the movie will launch Thursday, December 16.

"After rotting in prison for over a decade, America’s ultimate hero and uber patriot MacGruber is finally released," reads the official logline.

"His mission: to take down a mysterious villain from his past—Brigadier Commander Enos Queeth."

"With the entire world in the crosshairs, MacGruber must reassemble his old team, Vicki St. Elmo and Dixon Piper, in order to defeat the forces of evil."

Will Forte will reprise his iconic role as MacGruber and will also write and executive produce.

The Peacock series is an adaptation of the 2010 feature film and cult favorite of the same title, which will also feature the original creative team behind the camera.

Prison has not been kind to MacGruber, it is made clear in a new teaser video for Peacock‘s TV series based on the Saturday Night Live sketch and 2010 film.

Concurrent with the release of the Nsfw video above (a sanitized version appears below) — in which a TV newsmagazine gets an earful from the “Disgraced American Hero?” — and a few photos, it was announced that all eight episodes of the Will Forte-led comedy will premiere on Thursday, Dec. 16.

Amazon Prime Video announced the upcoming series “As We See It” will premiere all eight episodes on Jan. 21, 2022 and released a trailer for it.

The series follows 20-something roommates — Jack (Rick Glassman), Harrison (Albert Rutecki) and Violet (Sue Ann Pien), who are on the autism spectrum — as they strive to get jobs, make friends and fall in love. The trailer features each of the roommates tackling their goals, with the help of family and friends along the way. “I think you are such a beautiful person that you shouldn’t have to hide who you are,” says their aide Mandy (Sosie Bacon) to Jack. “That makes me want to throw up,” he responds.
