Jeff Morrissette got his first big break in the film business when producer Steven Katz (The Knick) agreed to read and develop one of his early screenplays "Plato's Revenge." Unfortunately, Katz had many other things on his plate and the full-length feature film never got the green light. Undaunted, Morrissette wrote nearly a dozen more screenplays that went nowhere so he began producing his own projects, most of which are in the form of film shorts and documentaries (or "mockumentaries"), while making a small living producing commercials, music videos and talent reels. After a long hiatus where Morrissette spent much of his time taking care of his aging parents (his mother died in 2014 after a long battle with Alzheimer's) he spent most of 2015 resurrecting and retooling "The Outtakes" (full-length feature) project which has generated some interest by unnamed Hollywood notables.
