Promise of Wizard (known in Japan as Mahoutsukai no Yakusoku ), a smartphone game developed by coly, is being adapted into a TV anime. The adaptation was previously announced back in November 2023, and now the format, the main staff and the cast have been revealed for the series. Naoyuki Tatsuwa directs the Promise of Wizard TV anime at animation studio Liden Films. Nanami Higuchi provides the series composition and the scripts, Nozomi Nagatomo provides the character designs and serves as chief animation director and Shuji Katayama (of Team-max) composes the music with Pony Canyon producing the music. March is the month for sand it seems as the Sand Land project revealed today that the anime adaptation of Akira Toriyama’s manga, which was previously released as an anime film in Japan, will premiere on March 20 around the world on Disney Plus with seven episodes. The first six episodes will encompass the film’s story while episodes seven to 13 will be new content set in a lush green lands aptly named Forestland. A new teaser video was released for the whole Sand Land project while a new visual drawn by Toriyama of the Forestland sage was unveiled alongside two new characters. Sand Land: The Series will premiere on March 20, 2024, making its debut with the first seven episodes simultaneously on Disney+ Star’s “Star Anime Series” programming. Following the debut, episodes 8-13 will be released weekly, with each episode dropping every Wednesday.
For viewers in the U.S., the series will also stream on Hulu.

GKids has acquired North American distribution rights to Goodbye, Don Glees!, the first original anime feature from Japanese writer-director Atsuko Ishizuka.
GKids is planning to release the film theatrically this year, in both its original Japanese language version and in a new English-language dubbed version.
Produced by Studio Madhouse, the film had its premiere at the Tokyo International Film Festival last November and was released in Japan in February. It will screen in the official competition at next month’s Annency animation festival in Switzerland. Kadokawa is handling international sales.
