Thibaut Fernandez is a french actor, living in Paris.
Passionnate about photography and cinema, he spends a year at the Angers Fines Arts institute, learning and practicing silver film photography (Mostly with Black & white film) and Art digital photography. At the same time, his admiration for movies actors prompts him to read on the art of "Play". He discovers the great drama masters and Acting theorists Constantin Stanislavski, Mihaïl Tchekhov, Louis Jouvet, Bertol Brecht, Peter Brook, Lee Strasberg ... In October 2007, he enrolls in the Dramatic Art Academy of Angers. Besides his studies, he frantically goes to movie theaters and encounters the great figures of french cinema as Jean Vigo, Jean Renoir, Jean-luc Godart, François Truffaut, Jean-Pierre Melville, Claude Sautet ... The Italians directors Michelangelo Antonioni, Fédérico Fellini, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Luchino Visconti ... The american masters Stanley Kubrick, Robert Mulligan, John Cassavetes, Martin Scorcese, Nicholas Ray and Michael Mann ... and so many others thanks to their movies, biography'books and the internet.
Driven by his love of cinema and a deep passion for Acting, he moves to Paris in September 2008 and enters the "Acting" section of the "International film school of Paris" (EICAR). He meets Mihaï Tarna, a moldavian actor and stage director, who becomes his first drama master. The same year, during a gipsy tap dance master-class, he encounters the choreographer Piotr Iourtchenko, a former member of "Moscow Musical and drama Theatre Romen". His training is strongly influenced by an Est-European wave. In Autumn 2009, he goes on and enroll the dance company "Romano Atmo" ("Gypsy soul" in gypsy dialect), led by Piotr Iourtchenko. He becomes his artistic assistant and one of his stage-repetiteur. Determined to intensify his actor training, he applies for the Paris' Dramatic Art Graduate school (ESAD) and pass the entrance exam with 15 others actors and actresses, forming the 2011-2014 promotion.
His 3 years course in ESAD allows him to dive in the art of playing, shaping his personnal acting vision and training. He encounters the principle of "Physicality" with the french actor's coach Alexandre Del Perugia, the "Sandra Metge's breathing method" taught by the french actress Catherine Rhétoré, the intense work and training of the colombian stage director Omar Porras, leader of the "Téatro Malandro" ... He practices contemporary dance with the french dancer Valérie Onnis and participates to her Argentinian Tango's classes since October 2013, led with her partner Daniel Darius, an Iranian actor and professional tango dancer.
He is a member of the drama company "Future Noir", led by the french stage director Jules Audry. He is an asociated artist of the french-Italian drama company "Nostos", created by the italian stage manager Paolo Taccardo. He is the art director of "Hey, slick", a french drama company based in the center of France, in Bourges. Since September 2014, he pursues the professional daily dancer training at "la Ménagerie de Verre", in Paris. The classes and workshops are led by internationally acclaimed choreographers and dancers. He encounters, among others, the dancers Alexandre Munz, Nina Dipla, Téo Fdida, Frédéric Cellé, Thi-mai Nguyen, Fabrice Ramalingom, Susan Alexander et Sébastien Durand.
