Creighton Rothenberger grew up in Boyertown, Pennsylvania. A graduate of the English Honors program at the University of Pennsylvania, he was awarded the Academy Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting for his Korean War epic, The Chosin, in 2002. He sold his first screenplay, Olympus Has Fallen, in 2012, which he developed from an original idea, and the film marks his first theatrically released project.
